I realize this is a year old. If your friend hasn't done anything about the jerky clutch, aftermarket clutch kits are very popular. SuperATV lists options. Maybe check with a Polaris specialist. Clutch kits are extremely popular for CFMoto machines. The custom kit I bought for my Zforce 800 Trail is supposed to tweak the CVT for more low end torque. My overlanding machine will be maxed out for weight & pulling a gear trailer possibly weighing upwards of 1,200lbs loaded (I haven't bought all my gear yet). I want all the low end grunt I can get from the machine 🙂

I ride these trails as well on a can am outlander. I really like riding on 50 inch trails the best. I’ve got kids so a 50 inch side by side might be an option at some point. Did you find the RZR as enjoyable or fun as your king quad? Maybe a RZR is fun in a different way?

It was pretty cool and I was surprised how well it got through some of the rough spots. I’ll probably end up with one at some point. I’d like to try the Trail Maverick 1000. There sure are some cool trails out here. At this point I still think I like the quad better, but I might get my wife out more often if I got a side by side. Thanks for watching!

@@aaronkelley7448 do you feel like you make as good of time and how does the suspension feel in comparison to an ATV?

We didn’t ride too aggressively most of the time but it was actually pretty quick. I was very impressed with the suspension. I thought it might ride kind of rough, but it was really pretty plush. He runs his tires at a pretty pressure and I’m sure that helps. The only thing is that sometimes on off camber stretches with large trees right on the edge the roll cage sticks out and makes for some tight squeezes. It was very stable though with a low center of gravity. I still not used to driving it as opposed to riding. Super nice to be able to carry on a normal conversation while on the trail and you can haul tons of stuff. The range on the RZR is better too you can ride over 100 miles on the tank and then he’s got the extra fuel can. Pretty cool setup. Are you in SE Idaho?
