We just received our 2019 Polaris RZR XP 4 1000 in Black Pearl. This is a walk around the unit and first impressions. They've added a few new features and a bunch of new styling.

I own that machine for 3 years (2016 xp4 1k) and is very impressive!! Only 1 issue cause a wheelspins enduro (primary clutch smoked) but really cool.

This 2019 is actually quite a bit different from the 2016! Nothing wrong with the '16, but in '17 they upgraded a number of components including the steering rack/ratio for better handling and in '19 they upgraded the whole dash and fascias!

I found the front "passenger grab bar", the left hand side, the "electric outlet" was a bit close if locked at nearest position. I picked up a nice "second driver grab bar" at UTV HQ. Just like the steering wheel shaped.

at 13.11 you were looking for " limited slip " ... this will be my first SXS and i have watched 30 + hrs of vid on the can am and i am an Ex Marine with much off road experience but none in one of these bad boys . for 1k more it looks like the can am has a winch , seats 6 if needed , 4 comfortably , and has much more dry storage , also 1000 LB in the tilting bed . snorkel for exhaust , intake , and trans . i am still open to suggestions . can you give me 3 reasons to go with Polaris ?

We are catching up on missed comments (YT never told us we had them)... Did you end up buying one? Deciding which machine to buy is up to 1) Your drivers position preference (upright truck style = Polaris, laid back cruiser = Can-Am), 2) Dimensional requirements... if you need to fit certain trails etc, and 3) Suspension/Wheelbase requirements... are you trail riding, rock crawling, overlanding, duning etc. We love the Polaris XP 1000, XP Turbo S, Can-Am X3 RC, Can-Am Sport RC, Polaris General XP 1000, etc.. all have their places...

let me ask you guys an honest question . would you recommend this over 2019 Can-Am® Defender Max X™ mr HD10 ? im looking to use in mud, trails and hunting in South to mid florida . for hunting 2 peeps + a 2-300 pound pig back to camp ................ 2 - 4 peeps the rest of the time .

This is an XP 4 1000 with a specific target audience of those that want to go everywhere with a few buddies/family and have fun. The Can-Am Defender XMR is a different target audience. The Defender XMR is more appropriately compared to a Polaris Ranger Crew High Lifter Edition. The both have larger mud tires, winches, high capacity seating and snorkels etc. Between THOSE two models, we're a fan of the Polaris models due to better suspension with higher clearance and better cabin design.

Are those rear graphics like a carbon fiber sticker? I have mine factory painted red from factory 2022 premium, but it’s scratched! I want to order the carbon fiber graphics and it will cover it. You mention how it’s a carbon fiber look graphic that matches a few places on front of yours.

I bought a 2018 1000XP-4 on Black Friday, it is the black pearl theme only difference mine came with a red Pro Armor cage with red roof with the integrated rear bumper.I sold the cage yesterday, didnt like the fastback look to it. going with a Madagin cage.Going to change the color, probably going to remove all the graphics and go with a plain white theme, going to get the roll cage in black with a white roof.

The Madigan cage is a nice, clean, looking cage. Great company to buy from! Going with a white cage, are you changing the graphics too?

I have been looking at white themed graphics. Madigan is just a few miles from me, I called them today and talked about a cage, he told me they are having a 20% discount until 10 May. So the cage with roof is normally around $2100 but I can get it for $1785 so I am going to drive over there and give them the deposit. they said it takes around 4-6 weeks to build.

How do u like the machine being this long any trouble getting hung up in ruts or tight trails?

We loved our time with the XP 4! It's a very capable platform and unit. The only times I ever had trouble with the length is on trails I should haven't been on! lol

Never had any hick-ups with clearance either... but then again, we don't bomb into things we know the machine isn't capable of! lol

They do not have speakers... Though if you get a Ride Command equiped machine, you can install their Rockford Fosgate or an SSV Kicker system.

Do you feel the standard 1000 has enough power or do you wish you got a turbo? I'm having a very hard time deciding between the 2

We believe that both machines will satisfy. The difference in the turbo, and whom should buy it, are the individuals that either have the extra disposable cash or are needing the instant acceleration in racing or situations were it is a safety issue to have it. You can upgrade the turbo for even more power where you can't on the 1k, but once up to speed, they have the same stock limiter etc.

@@tjshine8022 Sorry for the delayed response! There is plenty of power in the 1Ks. The suspension is where you'll notice the lack of performance with 4 adults. Things become very squishy if you don't upgrade the springs.
