Try and get the longer one. I couldn't find one within 25 miles of where I live. You have to remember, dealers don't special order and they order what they think will sell. SO, while a manufacturer may make a longer bed, it won't always be available where one lives. It's really up to the dealer and what they want to order based on their perception of demand. Also, the longer bed isn't long.

I always go with the bigger bed. Better to have and not need it than to need it and not have it. Plus it looks better imo

@@DanielBenfield I would agree, but it's hard to find half ton 4 doors with the longer bed. At least where I live. People seem to love the 4 door car with an open trunk.

@@nokoolaid very hard to find. I ended up settling for a different color just to get a bigger bed. Dealers kept trying to sell me a short bed and asking why I wanted the bigger bed. I've never owned a short bed and hope I never have to, meaning they do away with the bigger bed. I purchased a new Titan 3 years ago and only way I could purchase that truck was to get the xd. Loved the truck but got tired of the diesel/def fluid. Everyone always blocked the diesel pump and finding def was a pain. You couldn't bulk buy it because it had a shelf life. So this time around I looked at Ford and RAM. Ram won me over. My new z71 4 years ago was plagued with transmission slamming into gear. Hoping the ram serves me many years to come. What did you end up buying?

The only critique I really have after thoroughly checking a Laramie out in the flesh....is: Why did they choose that odd 'greenish' toned Gold color for the dash stack bezel? It doesn't go with anything else in the truck.... kind of a funky.... color that doesn't integrate well with the rest of the dash.
