I've watched most of your videos on what to inspect and expect in the future for my 2019 rebel. From day one of owning my truck I've researched as many different problems owners have had. So far I made filter boxes for the rear cab vents behind the back seats. Re sealed back window. Removed the charcoal filter on intake side of airbox. Pulsar piggyback (tuner). Mishimoto catch can. Ready Lift leveling kit. Suspension Maxx front sway bar links (best upgrade)and bushings. Last but not least $ ARH long tube headers (you know why). Only have 60000km (Canada). Have a long way to go before I get to your mileaged. Keep on posting. Much appreciated.

Ahh I’m in the market for sway bar links. What do you like about the suspension maxx units? Still running factory sway bar?
@paulbouchard182 ай бұрын
Yes factory sway bar. Links are made with poly bushings and upper 90° is poly bushed. They also offer longer links for leveled trucks. No more front end rattles over cracks pavement. Check out their website. Well worth the money. I glad there's no air ride on my truck. I see them all time at the dealer parked on the ground waiting to be repaired. Keep On Trucking

So i had the same problem on my 2019, where the CV shaft was stuck on that intermediate shaft. I ended up removing that actuator section with the intermediateshaft in it, and cutting the CV off the shaft with a grinder, then reinstalled the old actuator section, and slapped the aftermarket CV shaft on. There's also a company Roods Transmission in Canada, selling a kit for replacement of that intermediate shaft only that comes with bearings and seals you dont necessarily need, so you can replace that only, instead of buying a whole new diff:
Nice job Justin. I’m hoping you’re wrong about having that problem when it comes to my truck. But only time will tell. Good to see you buddy, take care.

carefully cut a line on the cv at the shaft with a cutoff wheel then air chisel/air hammer it off and coat the splines with bearing grease that may keep it from rusting on. the worst that could happen is you end up replacing the part he took off the used diff. rainman ray has a video showing this method it still not easy. i love the high mileage edition videos makes me think i mad the right choice buying a 2020 RAM

Love the content have you done a video on the transmission flush and fill process yet? Mines at 57k and needs it probably but the refill process without a lift seems like a major biatchhh. And im a mechanic too and thats how i feel lol
@TruckCentral2 ай бұрын
It’s a major pain. An unsuccessful attempt was made 😬
@Orr_s2 ай бұрын
@ i was afraid of this…the fact not having a lift and also having to stay in that temp range makes it a major pain compared to the regular old transmission dipstick fill level and checking when hot. Did you bring it to the dealer for it? They want crazy money but id only trust them to do it correctly with that process

Hi Justin, did you ever have problems with the rear windows leaking? I’ve seen some videos where it leaks and some guys had to seal it themselves.
@ramrider1453Ай бұрын
Mine leaked on my 2019 Longhorn. It was replaced under warranty last spring. Only issue I had in 5 years 👍
@looksmaxxxineАй бұрын
@ when did it leak? Within the first 3 years or 36k miles?
@ramrider1453Ай бұрын
@ about 4 years of owner ship. Only reason how I noticed. We were out. Raining out. I had a few drink and wife drove. I sat in the back for the first time. Right where I had a crack in the moulding by the rear w sliding window top part. Had a small drip. I had extended warranty and brought er in. Good thing I noticed before warranty was up.
@looksmaxxxineАй бұрын
@ramrider1453 Aw man I haven't seen any leaks yet but my factory warranty expired on my 21 and I didn't get ext warranty. I only have the power train one now
@ramrider1453Ай бұрын
@ I’m not sure of the stats of how prone these windows are for leaks but people did have issue. Heck GM also had issue. Or it can leak from the shark tail or rear cab light. Hopefully your free from that issue. Mine was just a tiny drip. Again I was lucky that I noticed soon enough. Cheers
@teedup-812 ай бұрын
Going thru same issue on my 2017, CV’s are shot on both sides. Mechanics says it’s a terrible design from RAM. Not sure if that’s accurate but hope my repair goes smoothly

@@MrJustinWheeler On Amazon the MOOG K201623 bushings have held up just fine over 10k miles now (only $18 for 2). Also little tip here since I did not know and had to redo my bushings - do NOT use a petroleum based grease for the rubber bushings it will "eat" them, originally did this and they started making noise 2k miles in. Use a synthetic or sillicone based grease for them.

Quick question are you running 87 or 89 octane?
@MrJustinWheeler2 ай бұрын
I’ve always ran 87 since brand new. I put 89 and 91 in once for a fuel mileage comparison, but only 87 other than that. Never use any fuel additives or octane boosters either.
@evanstein45772 ай бұрын
@ understood, I’m guessing you didn’t see much improvement in regard to mpg for you to justify 89? But doesn’t the engine detune itself to account for knocking?
@MrJustinWheeler2 ай бұрын
@ correct. There was an mpg improvement, but it wasn’t drastic enough to offset the increased cost. For some people it might make sense, depending on the price difference in their area. Or perhaps if they do more city driving than highway. Unsure how those results would pan out though. I just get the cheapest fuel and run it. Unsure about the engine detuning itself. If it has, I’m unaware of it.
@evanstein45772 ай бұрын
@@MrJustinWheeler so although the engineers recommend 89 for the “most performance,” you don’t think it makes that much of a difference?
@MrJustinWheeler2 ай бұрын
@ I don’t want to say 89 doesn’t improve performance. I haven’t done enough research to stand behind that. But I can certainly say that 87 has performed well enough to do anything I need the truck to do. Over 8,000 hours of run time, close to 300,000 miles of driving, and pulls trailers all over the country. I’ve also had multiple engine oil analyses done that have shown the motor to be in “above average” condition.
@Oldschoolrules1232 ай бұрын
