Thank you, your video "4x4 broken" saved me hundreds! I was having the same issue that you had shown in the video when changing from 2 wheel drive to 4. I purchased the front wheel drive actuator off Amazon for $107. It worked out that I was planning to do a gear oil change so I was able to do both at the same time. Everything is good as new now.

Such a good feeling when you can diagnose and repair something on your own. Nice work my man! I'm not nearly as handy with repairs, but this gives me hope if my truck ever reaches this point. Ha my 2022 Longhorn doesn't even have 8,000 miles yet. I need to get on it!

Your vids helped me make my decision to buy my new 2021 Ram 4x4. This series has been great! I only have 23K miles on it but it is an awesome truck. I bought my 2001 Silverado new in 2000 and it has been amazingly reliable. But I didn't like the new Silverado's and test drove the Ram and this truck is awesome! Quiet, quick and fun to own...thanks for this series!

I was hoping the fix was going to involve the Deko stick welder, but still a great video. As I've said before, Ram owes you a commission as this series helped convince me to get my Ram truck last year.

It happened to my 2019 DT twice. First time under warranty, fixed, second time refused warranty because there was oil all up in the connector harness from messy oil changes. The filter sits right above that harness and oil can get inside. They blamed me the second time. Thanks FCA!

Good video and information. My reading of the owner's manual is that the transmission must be in Neutral for the 4WD Low shift to take place. 4WD Auto and High can take place while the truck is moving. Also per the manual, supposedly, the computer will not allow a shift into any 4WD mode unless the conditions for safe shifting are present. I use 4WD Auto relatively often. There are some soft/slippery spots on our property and I use it on wet slippery roads fairly frequently as well.

The wiring connection was the hardest part. Blast it with wd40 before the fight. I also don't know how he got the part out with the wiring still attached. I had to get the wiring off first, then the shift motor twisted upright and turned 180 from how it sits in the truck. Then you could get it out.

@robm.756811 ай бұрын
I have a 2004 Dodge 1500 (before they became RAM) with the hemi, and what I like is how easy it is to get at things. I replaced the alternator last year, and was quick and easy. Had a O2 sensor go bad and was $30 and took 15 minutes. Had the same sensor go bad on my 2010 Acura MDX and took 4 hours and $100 to replace. I swore I'd never buy another vehicle with engine mounted sideways. And my Dodge has surprisingly been more reliable than the Acura. I know RAM has a bad reputation, but I've had great luck with mine.

Read once that with a Ram, you should shift your truck into all drive settings at least once a month, supposedly this helps keep the systems in working order. Not certain how true that it is, but have been doing it just in case.

My ‘19 makes a stripped gear sound on the transfer case when trying to shift. I’m curious if these work together to shift together and indicate to one another and if one doesn’t go the other won’t shift properly? Seems like an interesting system.

I have a 2019 1500 Laramie and it’s always something with this truck. Every time I fix something I think “that’s gotta be the last thing for awhile “ The last 3 months I’ve replaced the water pump, right rear brake light, and now this. Btw if your dash ever shuts off and just blast your defrost full blast it’s a bad ground in your right rear brake light.

Hey justin 👍 Very nice congrats! Yeah it feels good as you said when repair is that easy! Thanks for that, knock on wood...just incase my needs require that in the future 😊 As i have a 19 rm limited aswell just maximum steel color... Id like too rewind back too the brake check video i had too oddly have the same finding on the front pads at 160k/kms in miles about a 100k in mile being in ontario canada ....anyhow my rear pads were in the total opposite condition prob 90% of my rear pads have evaporated over that duration i wondered if it had relation too? Maybe adaptive cruise uses rears too a % or something but have a look at the rears too make sure when you get a chance see if you can relate...maybe maybe not but other than that calipers are all good! Great video keep up the great videos and updates 👌

I’ll never understand why manufacturers stopped using the manual gearbox with the shifter by the console. I have a 2020 Silverado dually and I went out of town for over a month disconnected my negative battery terminals to keep the drain on the batteries low and came back hooked the batteries up just to get a bunch of codes for the parking brake and 4x4 not shifting bunch of BS that you can’t simply disconnect a battery anymore without having to take it to a dealer and have them reset modules.
