My 2020 reading goal is to try to accept the fact that I'm 26 years old and that I don't enjoy YA as much as I used to anymore xD I'm always tempted by the cool premise and the gorgeous cover but more often than not I end up disappointed, usually because of an unnecessary insta-love romance that takes over the interesting plot lol. Unless someone I trust specifically says that there's no romance or that it's exceptionally well done/not too cringe worthy I won't bother. I really want to read more adult fiction, non-fiction and sci-fi ! and I'm also definitely going to attempt the Magical Readathon this year, missed it last year but it sounds so so cool I'm excited !

Same here! 🙋🏻♀️ I give up on ya, don't have the time to stress about my disappointment towards it. I'll read the ones I already own, but I'm pretty sure I'll be unhauling them right after I finish them 😂

My challenge this year will actually be to be LESS of a try hard. I'm tired of reading being a chore rather than something I enjoy doing. I set my goal this year to 100 books for the third year in a row and failed and realized its because half the time when I'm reading I dont really want to be. So despite the fact I know I will read more than this, I set my reading goal to 26 books for 2020 and I'm only setting a tbr for six books for the whole year - the rest will be spur of the moment reads which suits me well since I'm a mood reader

A reading challenge I created for myself last year was to read one book per day for the first week of January, that way only 7 days into the new year I can already say I read 7 books! I either read a really short book or a manga/graphic novel and that makes it easy. And I usually pick one challenging book to read at some point during each year, one that takes a while and that I really research and explore. Lastly I choose one book per year to annotate/tab and I generally do that with a book I've already read and know I enjoy so it's not a chore to reread. You can use any of my challenges, I don't have a book channel so I'm the only person doing them currently haha! Love your channel, have a great 2020 :)

For reading challenges I suggest borrowing readathon-concepts. E.g. do a month where you try to read as many books with numbers in the titles as possible.

My general reading plan is to just read. Last year with my move I ended up not reading a lot. So this year I read whatever appealed to me, which allowed me to read some romance (which mostly angered me but it was also kind of fun). Next year I think will be redefining what I like reading, I thought I knew but apparently I was wrong. As for vlogging... I say keep going. ☺☺

Hey! I've recently come out of a ~3 years reading slump. HOPEFULLY, yours won't be as long, but remember books have been here for a long time and will still be there for you when you're ready for them. In the meantime, try something new! Movies, tv, art, any new hobby might help you discover something new and make you want to read something about the subject. Also, maybe give audiobooks a try? Whatever you do, don't pressure yourself. You'll be okay, and books will be there for you when you're ready for them.
