I definitely like the shooting aspect. I like how it adds a military aspect to the games because they basically train like military special ops and a lot of the athletes come from military backgrounds. You can def tell it takes skill to slow your heart rate down and hit the target.

My poor little olympic shooter heart just lost it all...please you guys show those guys how to stand with proper position in order to be more efficient and successful...I am a huge fan of crossfit and I get it shooting didn't used to be a part in crossfit and most people are just not having it in this comment section. Well from a shooters and crossfitters point of view I am very happy about the fact that they finally incorporate shooting into their workouts. I am here for it and fully supporting it. Keep up the good work!

So much talk about drugs, until people forget that genetics and sport backgrounds still matter. These guys majority didnt just came from zero..many have sports background. U think these body and strength cant be achieve if u have been trained since school? In my country, we have these tribes doing porter services carrying things as big as water tanks, fridge, people, wood, cement up the mountains. Didnt event need barbells or barbells or so called steroids....they do functional daily things only heavier and harder..so come on..learn a bit about ur potential.

You know what is weird. People talking about fitness or drug use in fitness or ANYTHING fitness related....and yet they are just bystanders. Try for yourself and see how you will be able to front squat 435 after front squatting heavy weight without any rest. In KZbin you see people benching, squatting unrealistic amounts of weights and you get the feeling: "Wow, when I workout, I will get to these numbers aswell." No you wont without any kind of juice.

People complaining about shooting in the sport of fitness (not crossfit, stop calling it that) have every reason too And everyone defending it, stop assuming it has anything to do with it being a “gun” cause it’s not Sport of Fitness is the only sport where theres no set rules and regulations across the board. How can you try to justify being professional when you dont have set guidelines across the board? This is why IF3 will take over as the legitimate sport Imagine if the MLB just decided overnight that a strikeout will be 2 strikes instead of 3 and didnt announce it until 2 weeks until the season kicked off Or if gymnasts all of the sudden had to shoot a basketball before the ran the springboard? These are the issues, it has nothing to do with it being a “gun”

Jacking up the heartrate on the Skierg, then right after having to concentrate and maintaining a steady aim is a feature of fitness as it combines multiple of your general physical skills. It's an obvious adaptation of a classic Biathlon in the Winter Olympics. I actually think that implementing elemtents that require you to have great coordination and the ability to perform difficult tasks while having a high heartrate is a great addition to the repertiore of workout variations in crossfit.
