I installed one of these last week and I was kinda blown away by how different the bike feels and sounds. Great easy mod. One thing you might want to highlight: You should let the bike idle for 10-15 mins after the install, (fight the urge to rev the engine). The ECU needs some time to recalibrate, so letting the bike idle for several minutes will ensure the ECU adjusts for the higher intake of air.

@@GeographicalWatermelon I believe it does. I need to try to let it idle for 10 minutes. It will cause some pops on deceleration. Then again I has S & S pipes also.

I can't talk much about fuel economy yet, but performance is notably better. Plus, there is a new sound of the engine sucking in air from the outside, it's lovely.

Does the metal bracket come with the air filter or do I have to buy it separately. If I do have to buy the bracket separately could I just saw the funnel off of the old air filter container off and save 40 dollars?

After doing this, did you tune your bike at all? Would it need it if you do this and new slip ons?

Hi, I've already installed it on my gt but several times my gt faces sudden shut off while riding. When I switch to the stock filter, everything ok. Can you suggest anything? Thanks.

When you installed it did you let the bike run for like 10+ min without actually riding it? The onboard computer needs to learn that the bike now has access to more air and automatically reprograms itself.

Yes, already let the bike ran at about 15 minutes... the best part is if I install the stock air filter cap on with the dna filter, everything run smoothly... that the setup for me now...

Can i place the same old RE 's air filter cover after installing DNA air filters? cuz in India we have more air and dust pollution ,the old cap could fit?

The bike breathes so much better. You can hear the engine sucking in air from the outside. Tremendous difference.
