2019 Seaark Procat 240 with 250 hp suzuki prop test

Ive got a 2022 Procat 240 with a 250ss. I hear people say all the time that these motors should be running boats at speeds faster than 50-60mph. Here is the thing Id like to point out on the Procat. First off it is not a bass boat. Yes you can bass fish out of it but this boat's hull is cut at approx. 15 degrees. It does not have a hull like a bass boat. That being said, you add the other variables like on my boat. I have 5 batteries, an 80 gallon livewell ontop of that 250 ss you calculate that weight with the pods and the degree of the hull this boats performance is superb. With proper weight distribution carring gear, 2 yetti 65's full of food ice bait whatever, approx. 4-5 people, approx 60 gallons of fuel my top speed is still in the mid 50's. I think that is outstanding.. If you want a boat to run 70+ mph buy a bass boat. But I will assure you after worrying about keeping the gel coat prestine, the carpets cleaned, and all that bs you will wish you had a Procat, they're a very low maint. vessel. If you get mud or dirt in it so what spray it out with the washdown, you scratch it so what rattle can it and keep on keepin on. I could go on and on. But the point is this boat handles extremley well with that 250ss it will blow your mind videos dont do it justice. But as stated before the procat is a tank on the water very dry ride that widnshield is without a doubt its best asset, this boat will go more places than those 90,000 dollar bass boats will go. There aint a bass boat on the market that will beat this Procat out of the hole. The hole shot on these boats is almost nothing. Its a slingshot with a 250. Ive had lots of boats in my life but I can assure you this boat is the best I have ever owned without question. But thats just my opinion, knowledge, and experience talking.

You need over 50hrs on the SS Break-in to get the full potential. Also look at the Scorpion Props for these motors

Would you suggest a 200 or 250 on a 2672 MV seaark forward windshield. And what speeds do you think each motor would reach. (Please answer) Thanks love the videos

Am I wrong to believe that best prop would be the one in which the motor ran at the lowest RPM while still maintaining the average speed of the props tested?

No you want the RPM range towards the top of its limit so when you run the boat fully loaded you dont lose performance with it. You will lose RPM and speed as more loaded is added to the boat.

How much difference is the 200 hp? I am looking at some boats with 200 hp Suzuki and curious how much slower they would be?

The first was the best it got up to speed quicker it was fast out of the hole I would give up two mph on the top. the last prop was to big for that motor.

That 250ss aint all that fast id expect some where around 70mph thats what mercury is getting with them 250s i believe
