David Mozingo I hope they drop it by Friday. It absolutely must come out this month because they need to start marketing it. If it’s coming in October then a trailer or some type of promotional material should start in August. The very first trailer came out 3 months before and the next just mere weeks before the first episode. This is typical for a new show but for something that has a returning season, you need a sufficient amount of time to market the product.

Yeah, I came to that realization a while ago. The Clone Wars is really not something Disney cares about - the fact that it was the first to get axed when they bought Lucasfilm tells us that. They're throwing all of their weight behind The Mandalorian, and I think that the reason we got The Clone Wars final season was to set up the storyline for season 2. That's why the final "season" was so dang short. They went with the bare minimum of what was needed. (And it still has plot holes. Unless you've read the comic, you have no idea how Maul went from being in Sidious' clutches to once again ruling Mandalore.)

@@MeyaRoseGirl They canceled Clone Wars because of the licensing and legal contract limbo it was in. The new episodes would have had to gone on Cartoon Network, Disney's competitor and a deal they didn't make, so they weren't going to do that. Lucasfilm under Disney also avoided prequel content in general like the plague, due to rampant fan hatred and complaining which ran George off in the first place, and stuck to original trilogy content and made the sequel trilogy more like the original trilogy and left out all the political stuff the prequels had that fans said was boring. Clone Wars was brought back after much urging by fans. Obviously the contractual issues with Cartoon Network were worked out by then, or the deal just expired. But even Dave said it wasn't the same without George there and some of the other people who moved on, so he chose these episodes to make and is moving on himself. Filoni works on both Clone Wars and Mandolorian, so I would not be surprised if there are some tie-ins, especially if the Ahsoka rumor is true. But it's not the primary reason it was made. Lucasfilm and Filoni wanted to finish the series and give it the ending it deserved, and I'd say they succeeded. Be happy you got what you got.

There are sequels and prequels to other movie and TV franchises I don't like but I don't complain about them daily. I move on, and I focus on what I enjoy. I think you'll find your time much better spent that way. Also funny you completely ignored the valid business and legal reasons I gave you for Clone Wars getting canceled, and went straight back to emotional complaining. Don't forget it was this sort of endless fit throwing that made George sell the franchise in the first place. He didn't want to deal with the BS from fans anymore. So the whiney fans only have themselves to blame for their current predicament. The sequels were much more closely based on George's scripts than you might think, by the way, specifically the part some fans hate the most - a young force sensitive woman goes to seek training under a grumpy hermit Luke Skywalker. So you would have hated George's versions just as much, if not more so, because of the "Whills" stuff.

I'm so going to miss The Clone Wars very much. And as much as I'd like to see the Boba/Bounty Hunters arc, Son of Dathomir arc, the Dark Disciple arc, the Kashyyyk arc, and the Crystal Crisis in Utapau arc being made as Animated films/specials for Disney+ so they can have their stories told animated, Dave Filoni wants to move on from Clone Wars for good and to a degree he's right *THIS* is the Final Season of Clone Wars as he wants to continue focusing on The Mandalorian and The Bad Batch animated series so you got to respect his wishes. Even he goes on to say it's not the same without George Lucas and some of the crew who worked on the show as they all moved on as well. I'm still optimistic we may get those unfinished Clone Wars arcs in some shape or form such as an animated special or an animated movie on Disney+ soon.

I still come back to this trailer after 2 years, I just love it so much. It really has this bittersweet sense of finality, of one last fight before the end of the good ol' days, before the darkness of the Empire descends over the galaxy. It really hits me in the feels. I love you Clone Wars.
