One of the last old school driving enthusiast cars you can still buy today. Turbo that makes power to redline, hydraulic steering, a dial to control drive modes, mechanical front and rear limited slip differentials instead of brakes mimicking the effect, and a manually adjustable electronic center differential that no other car offers (Evo is dead). I fear most of this goodness will be lost with the next generation.

Had a 04 STi new and within 2months every mod + bigger turbo, injectors. Light weight, lots of power and AWD w/o $$ was lots of fun and underrated.

I live in Hyde Park and go to Chicatawbut Rd around 5AM in the summer. It's a really fun road then because it's totally empty, but after 6:30 or so it starts to get crowded and you have to take it easy like you had to here. I just wish it was longer like some of those canyon roads in California because it would be a lot more fun!

Got a tomei single exhaust on my 2015 sti mixed with a killer bee equal length headers had for it 3 yrs love it everyday. Only issue is I need swap into my stock exhaust to pass inspection which bites but its ok.

I have a gc8!(2000 impreza 2.5rs) and the gas pedal is very close to the wall also. Makes it very hard to heel toe! My integra is the perfect car to heel toe on. My 94 supra turbo is also easy to heel toe compared to the subie.

had to look up the "Amy Clustermarker & vent pod"; only to discover it was the "SMY Clustermaker & vent pod"...that is a lot of mods on a car that is supposed to be pretty bonkers from the factory to begin with...so, this is a homebuilt S209/Type RA w/o all the fancy body work/add-ons...there is hope for my '19 WRX base...
