This is not a facelift, the actual facelift is only available in Thailand and China only. This model is the fourth generation model since the panels are not anymore interchangable with the outgoing model. But the platform is stil the same as the old model.

Heavily revised version of Vios actually and it's Yaris Ativ in Thailand just that in Thailand only 1.2 whereas 1.5 is only for rest of the country

I kind of like Toyota is moving towards a great highway comfort cruiser with the Vios, distinguishing itself more with City (spacious) and Mazda 2 (sporty design) here in Malaysia. With the addition of cruise control, it will rise up even more and might even be able to challenge C segments of other brands in terms of highway cruising comfort.

does the throttle and the brake position level issue still persist in the FL version? I driven the pre-FL version and same issue with the Polo 1.6, the gas pedal is way lower and the brake pedal level is too high, very tiring when driving on stop-and-go traffic

Umw added more safety features to fend of Honda City, not because they care about customer's safety! Pop into their showroom or sc to get what I meant. If there is no competition, 1nz-fe/4spd will still soldier on. One may argue that because they hvn achieve economic of scale for the model thus many features were not introduced. If that's the case why kosong dugong J spec was introduced yet they previously had achieved massive success with 1st gen? Not to mention Altis with optional airbags? Camry XV50 2.5V adds on VSC for RM17.10. They concern about safety? Yeah right!

It feels like Hyundai and Honda are working much harder and provide much more than Toyota in terms of design and features. Sometimes i fear Toyota would fail. If they somehow manage to provide better looking cars then there is nothing that can beat Toyota but i don't know why Toyota isn't concentrating on providing better looking cars.

It’s brand new vios not facelifts... the last generation vios is launch in 2014, and the last generation vios ald facelift in 2016. this 2019 Vios is all new not facelift...

Features seems attractive but I hate the front design. It is not clean design. All the weird black patches. Weird DRL position. Weird slit air vent under the the logo. I will rather wait for cosmetic change and will see how.

I stopped watching @ 5:22 because I can't get over the car bobbling uncontrollably. If you need a proof of a bad/soft/floaty suspension setup, that would be it. No matter how good everything else is, a floaty drive kills the confidence and drive. It's Ok if you constantly drive at 50 ~ 60KM/hr, but that was how Toyota got the reputation of being an uncle's car in the first place, not because of their looks alone.

Uncontrollably? It was a sharp bump that you will feel it in ANY car, but notice how the Vios regained it's composure almost immediately without fluffing about. A testament to its soft damping and good rebound characteristics.

@@AdrianChiaa good rebound characteristics is determined only if you can't feel it inside. In a Vios I can always feel I am on a carpet of air. Firmer spring will reduce the damping travel and will not cause that wobble. Confidence seeking driver does not want a floaty ride.
