Just bought a 2021 mt07 and man it sound sooo freaking good. It's such a weird/unique sound (well at least for me). Instead of the winny sound, it's like a mini v8 haha. Great video guys, awesome bike too :)

Do you put the Allen bolt back in after the removal?
@MultiMb775 ай бұрын
@@cywhite771 from what I remember we didn’t put it back in until reinstalling the baffle as that’s the bolts only purpose

Why do you have to remove the end can? Ive taken baffles in/out loads of times and never had to remove the can to do it
@MultiMb775 жыл бұрын
We found it a lot easier to get to the Allen bolt, we read on a forum about being careful not to lose the washer, and felt by not taking the end cab off it will just fall down into the pipes. By removing the can it fell onto the space in front of us Just for the record, this was our first baffle removal 👍😂

@@MultiMb77 lost my washer/bolt in the can before, in case that happens, just turn the bike on with a garage door/wall behind and rev it, it'll fly out. nice bike btw

I will hopefully be test riding one of these this weekend. After testing the Honda CBR650R this is going to have to be something special to make me buy one. Having said that the reasons I like the MT07 though are the riding position and the sound of the engine (with an aftermarket system), oh and the torque. So could still be tempted. Did you ride it, or was it just your friend?
@MultiMb775 жыл бұрын
I haven’t ridden the Honda, And a few of the reasons are just I prefer the modern feel more on the Yamahas and Ducati’s.. basically the clocks and headlights etc Unfortunately I haven’t been on this one, but I can vouch how great it seems. My friend is smitten. I would suggest going to test it at least. Do you think you will go and try the Ducati? (Yes I am a fan boi) 😂

@@MultiMb77 I did look at the ducati 821 but I didn't really like it much. The headlight really put me off too. However I did fall in love with this Ducati ----> www.crescent-motorcycles.uk/bikes/used/view/5072593/2015-ducati-hypermotard-850 But when I sat on it my little stumps barely reached the ground 😭 😭 😭 I will still give the MT07 a go before I decide though 👍

@@RedlineRossi At least you looked which is the main thing. The headlight is the thing that puts me off as well, but I have kind of got used to it. Oooh, yes that motard looks sweet, apparently they are beats to ride, but seat is mega uncomfortable. The MT is a good shout

If you remove the baffle, do you have to retune and remap? If you have a Power Commander V (5) ?

I had my done yesterday. I did ask this and the guy said its only really necessary if you're chasing extra numbers. If I want more hp I suppose go the new mt09. They look mint.
