This topic, exactly this is of central importance in parametric architecture. It's very rare to find videos explaining the logistics of data trees. This is valuable material.

Ah glad you think so! I also think it's a pretty important concept to wrap your head around before diving deep into parametrics.

@@DesignGoBrr True. Watching this video clarified one of the topics on my thesis. Without Data Trees and listing we can't speak about parametric architecture.

Those technical rubber ducky diagrams always crash my computer too. Thanks for describing the data trees concepts in this way. This drove home these foundational concepts better than watching more complicated examples within GrassHopper.

There is clearly a rubber-ducky memory leak situation then. Happy that they are helpful at least!

It's a rough topic - need some visual aid to explain it ;D

Good explanation, easy to follow, as it should be.

Your explanation is so easy to understand, If you don't mind please make more videos on data trees like this one .

Thank you! I'll definitely be adding more content like this to my future videos. Just a separate data tree tutorial is super dry, but if we can make something cool with it on the way - it should be good!

Thanks! How is it possible to create a list of lists, basically a list with two lists? The entwine component isnt doing example what I want.
@DesignGoBrr2 жыл бұрын
2 lists packed into 1 list is a data tree with 2 branches. You can create it with the Entwine node

Nope, I try to keep all of my courses/lectures free and open. From time to time, I do ask my patreon supporters (link in description) what kind of lectures/tutorials/courses/videos would they like me to record. So that is the best way on how to get a bit more "tailored" experience from me I think... Well or if you're an arch. student - you could use a student exchange program to attend my course in Lund University.

this is the main topic (trees) to work on PARAMETRIC PATTERN and sth like that... could we have sth like this? all in all tnx Pro ;)
@kummer454 жыл бұрын
Data trees is almost everything. The data tree is the main topic for generative architecture, for parametric architecture for variations on tessellations. It's the business of almost everything the contemporary world architects and engineers are doing. His channel has outstanding videos for learning. This teacher is very useful because his topics are relevant to the current trends.
