2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia remove center dash and shifter

The shifter button broke off and the car got stuck in park. I will show how I removed the console and shifter knob.
Towards the end I show you how you might be able to fix yours if the inner button feels like its missing.

Mine just broke - 2021 Stelvio. Out of warranty and damned if I'm paying for a whole replacement unit. Many thanks for the vid - at least I know where to start !

Mine just broke as well. Any insight as to where to get the replacement unit? The dealer is asking for 800..

Mine was replaced under guarantee - thought the guarantee had run out but thankfully not :-) @@HappyLiou

Mine happened today 2020 Giulia. So which part is going to be replaced. The button or the whole gearshifter?

The dealer had to replace the entire gear shift device. Hopefully your under warranty

Why are you using a screwdriver you will destroy the trim invest in a trim tool kit

When they are replaced, you have to program

I dont think there was any reprogramming required for a new one. I can say for sure that removing and reinstalling the same unit didnt require any programming

It didnt seem to be something that can be replaces as just a part. The whole gear shift assembly was replaced under warranty
