I was on a no buy in 2019. This year I did pretty good, I bought only one eye shadow palette, a foundation replacement, a blush and a few lip glosses. I made my final purchase today on the new Fenty powder foundation. 2021 will be a no buy and my first project pan! My project pan will be mostly skincare, lotions and lip balms since those are my weakness. I’m looking forward to seeing progress!

I was in a low buy this year and my budget was 150€ on makeup for all year.. I’ve only spent 122€ so it was a success!! Next year I’m going to do it again with 130€ budget

I’ve tried no buys and low buys and haven’t had great success. I think what I’m going to do for 2021 is try to be reasonable with my spending. I will track what I spend so that I can do a budget for 2022 actually knowing what I spend in a year (and if I can stick to my vague goal of “reasonable”.).

Following along with this has been great, but I totally get why you're ending this series. It sounds like it was a good personal informational exercise, and you got the takeaways you'd wanted most. Also, it's easy to start seeing numbers as just numbers (like $100, and thinking, "THAT'S A LOT!") before you really consider that those numbers represent something like a pair of shoes you get endless use out of. haha. LOVED coming along for the journey!

this year alone you got me to buy elf's earth/oceans, opposites attract, and the rose water quad, than nyx born to glow foundation and last but not least my first ABH (highend palette in general tbh) palette, I did an low/no buy thinking i would do it for years as well but, it really only took me an year to get out of it what i wanted to get so next year will be a lot different but for an entirely different reason i will be keeping my overall beauty spending a lot lower so i can spend my money on other things.

I bought the Sultry palette vault on Nordstrom when it was on sale. I've been wanting it since it originally came out. I wasn't going to get the re-release because I didn't want the extras. But I tried a sample of the included mascara and I loved it! So getting the palette and mascara for just over $30 was worth it to me. And bonus, I like the eye primer too! It doesn't come with much product in it but it's enough to know the primer works for my oily lids.
