Nice set up. If you don't mind me asking what would the ball park cost of the hardware be for this type of layout?
@CounterHolidayLights2 жыл бұрын
It would cost around $4,000 for a show like this. the average cost of a show is about $1.00 per light depending on how much DYI you do. first year is the most expensive as that is when you buy your controllers which should allow you for expansions over the years.

Not yet! just on the ''icicles. but they are just PVC gutter clips ( 3d printed ones) my behind the scenes videos my cover them a bit more. moving to full magnetic mounts this year.

medium on the receivers and xl on the f48

I enjoyed your display. When upgrading your matrix, consider using p5 panel build. For my Megatree build, I'm working to the Mattos design.
@CounterHolidayLights3 жыл бұрын
we thought long and hard about the panels but the weight would make it hard to get up for this older guy. we are also looking at the Mattos design when we upgrade our tree this year.

Thx for the video, I'm in the planning stage for my 1st show next year. I'm also planning on using the F48 with remote receivers. Why did u go with a tree kit instead of building a asap pole?
@CounterHolidayLights3 жыл бұрын
First year budget constraints really the only issue. To do the tree I wanted would be another $400 just in pixels plus the cost to build the ASAP jr poll, base extension cords and bigger base ring plus all the little things you never think. I’ll be posting controller build videos some time after the 1st of january but if you have any questions prior just let me know
@dad3113 жыл бұрын
@@CounterHolidayLights lol, I'm setting here with the mega tree calculator, tying to figure out how big and how much money it will cost. Wonder if 12' using a fence rail and a kit is enough or just go all in with a ASAP pole.
@CounterHolidayLights3 жыл бұрын
@@dad311 mine will also be a little over 12 feet but then you need about a foot at the base and 3 feet above that for the start. I feel fence rail is just to week i would over engineer then have a chance at a fail during show time.

Hey man, on the outline around the doors and windows, how are the pvc clips attached to the house? I am wanting to do a display, but I don't want to screw a ton of holes into my house. Are yours permanently screwed to your house or do you take them down after every season?
@CounterHolidayLights3 жыл бұрын
The plastic clips around the door clip into the plastic siding and come off around the window they are screwed in permit but we will be replacing them with the new Magntic mounts we did a video about. we got the clips here inspirelightshows.com/
