I get everyone's got a budget, I've owned my fair share of 500$ junk piles my self lol But the person this video is geared towards likely isn't working on anything themselves, they're looking to buy something reliable that they wont have to fix for no reason. 3000$ is basically the start of that type of quad

I started on an 85 Moto-4 200 I bought with money from selling “my” steer that my grandpa gave me @ 12 years old. Since then I’ve had a Banshee, Polaris 400 Sport, Sportsman 500 and 800. A Honda 400EX, YFZ 450, Yamaha Big Wheel 200, Raptor 660 and finally a Raptor 700. Rode mud, rocky 1 track trails, dunes, and even in the Rocky Mountains. Which one was my favorite bike?.... The one I was riding. Bottom line, get what you can afford, take a friend and introduce them to riding, and be safe. Any day riding and being outside is a great day. Currently I’m cruising a Can Am X3 RC that I picked up in your great state of Kentucky. Since it’s the only machine I own, it’s also my new favorite. Hope to see you all on the trail one day. This has to be the single most watched video in the atv world. But it desperately needs a 2022 update because prices have changed so much since it was filmed. This is the most unbiased, tell it like it is atv channel on our planet. They report the facts just as they are even if it pains them to say it or conflicts with personal favorites. I know you guys are busy but I really need a 2022 update to this video to help my buying decisions for my last two quads before I leave this world. Awesome! Great points.. I gotta be honest, I'm jaded against Suzuki because their King Quad update should have been a larger displacement.. I considered the 500 but it was hard to justify it against the other machines at the price point.. I tried to find deals on ATV Trader for this video too but most dealerships only post MSRP or say "call for price".. I think they do that on purpose to charge whatever they can based on the knowledge of the individual.. That was my main point I guess... Shop around.. Thanks for the info! The KQ with EPS is an awesome deal for sure!

I hate how everyone discredits the whole Honda line up like they ain’t shit because they don’t have 75-100HP...Fun is what you make of it! I can buy 2 brand new Honda’s for the price of a Can-Am/Polaris and they will still be running when my great grandchildren are old enough to ride them. Lmao! They have been building AMAZING machines for countless years!!!!! No one on the market can touch their reliability! If they ever did produce a motor powerful enough to compete with all the other brands it will simply destroy their sales! 💪

@@j_roddaboss2257 I kind of agree with some of what you said... Honda definitely makes great reliable machines.. I like their foot shift with the auto clutch and the solid axle on the Rancher... I've owned many atvs, mostly 4x4 utility machines. Current ride is a 2008 Suzuki King Quad 750. Overall a good machine. Reliable, good power, plenty of ground clearance, good ride. Quite capable with diff lock if you need it though I seldom do. Great range on fuel too, can go over 100 miles on a tank in normal riding. I'd put it equal to the Grizzly 700 for a great choice in a used 4x4 utility machine. I actually was going to get a Grizzly 700 but the King Quad was a better buy at the time.

Gotta agree that the Brute Force is one heck of a good quad. Powerful, reliable, tough, smooth and good looking. Never owned one but have ridden a few and I was impressed. Probably the only quad I've ever ridden that I couldn't find anything to complain about. If buying new it would be my pick.

Owner of an outlander max xt 650 2020, I'm happy with it, brp put very cheap brake pads on it but it has plenty of performance, love the engine, love the style, when I was looking for an ATV I was also strongly attracted to the yamaha grizzly 700 but the weak engine (weaker than my 650) and lack of 2 up models made me go for the can am. If I was to use the atv only for work on a farm and whatnot I think a 450 would be more than enough but if I would want to race it/mud and go crazy I'd go with a renegade or outlander xmr 1000. As for me, I do trail riding, snow plowing, I feel my 650 is plenty.

Yes, to each their own.. I prefer the Grizz over the King but that shouldn't the case for everyone.. It would be pretty boring if we all liked the same machine. I do think the best value can be found with Polaris and CanAm though, unless you find a volume dealer looking to push old inventory.. Especially for a first time buyer.

I could t be happier with mine although I was looking between the griz and the KQ I couldn’t find power steering models or special editions at my price point and so many of the recent reviews have the KQ on top of the grizzly since the 2019 re-vamp.

Couple ditties to keep in mind. Most dealers charge 'destination and assembly.' Its crap, but most won't come off of it. Especially now during Rona season, where stock isn't as plentiful. Absolutely consider the used market. I found a 2007 grizzly 450 for 2300$. Had 153 miles on it. Needed a battery, or to use the pull cord start. Not a big deal. Runs great today. You're not leaving a dealership with a new 450 kodiak for much less than 7000$.

I agree with you 100% ! One would think that because I own 4 Polaris sportsmans that I'm biased towards Polaris?? The reason for this is, I've only been into 4 wheeling for 3 years now and my 2017 Polaris sportsman 850 SP was the first machine I purchased and wanted to keep the ease of maintenance simple with 1 manufacturer . Why did I buy this? For starters it came down to styling, then comfort, then utility based on how I intended on using it and finally price. I bought mine for $8399, which was about $2k off retail. What helped was that the dealership I bought mine from had every make of ATV available for comparison! Where I agree the Can Am and Grizzly had better fit and finish, the Polaris just looked better and was like sitting on a lazy boy recliner :-) I contemplated buying a SXS seeing that every body I know has one and having the wife +2 boys to think about I wanted them involved. Being a snowmobiler I wanted that same "one with the machine" riding experience and I knew right away after sitting in a RZR that was not the case. From a pricing standpoint where I live in Michigan, the Polaris just has the best option for what we do. Even considering resale, the Sportsmans hold their value. I do love my neighbors Can Am Outlander 450 he just bought though ! Excellent video as usual, definitely the most un biased info I get on youtube!
@DirtObseXXion
@DirtObseXXion 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks PAPA!!! If you're a snowmobiler I'd definitely say an ATV is going to keep you more entertained than a SXS. I'm glad SXSs are making the sport more accessible, but my money is on the wheelers! I'm glad you're enjoying the Sportsman!!!

Great video. Very informative and entertaining. I have some disagreements but all of the reviews out there are totally subjective. Depending on the riders physical size, riding experience, types of areas that they ride in, and how they ride those areas can vary the opinions of who likes what manufacturers better greatly. Plus how well you maintain your machine as well is a big factor. I have a 2018 Sportsman 570 SP and love it so far after 450 miles. They might tend to need more maintenance and attention, but the performance and ride outweigh the cons IMO. Honda’s are obviously super reliable as anyone would say. I did own a 2001 Honda 400EX for a few years and that was a great machine. Loved riding it. Needed to sell it unfortunately as younger lad. Bought a lil 2002 Honda 250TRX a few years later for $900, you cant stop that thing. Ive ran it through deep mud and water along with the coal mines out in PA. Still starts right up every time. Its a great learners machine or just something easy and light to bang around the woods with. Tops out at like 57 mph, but it keeps up in the trails nicely.

Got a 2000 Polaris sportsman 500 for a days worth of work. (I do carpentry) And after having someone go completely through it, new gaskets all around, new starter and solenoid , oil change and everything i could think of. Have $800 into it and the thing works and runs great. Original wench and everything works. Only thing that doesn't work is the speedometer because for some reason the 4x4 button is wired up through the speedo so with the speedo not working the 4x4 wouldn't work and witj a new speedo costing $350+ I opted to overeide it with a longer wire. Now 4x4 works and no speedo. Doesn't both me.

I've been looking into both new and used machines based on my passed experience with used stuff we bought a used lawn tractor after about a year into having it we had to have a complete motor job done to it so based on that I'm not real crazy about buying used stuff because in my opinion I'm just buying someone else's issues and I don't want anything to do with it. If I'm going to buy an ATV I'm going to go with brand new that way I don't have to take a chance on anything. I can settle for something that has .3 miles on it from the dealer testing it out to make sure its going to work.
