before everyone says „iT‘s A MiNi“ - NO, it’s not. how is this car a Mini if BMW used the UKL2 platform 2 years before Mini in 2014 on the 2series Active Tourer F45, 2015 on the 2series Gran Tourer F46 and the X1 F48? Mini didn’t used the UKL2 platform until 2016 with the Clubman F54! get over it, it’s a BMW, not the other way around :)

Because it has hideous proportions due to it being FWD and BMW compensating with overdesigning it, looks like a Kia Stinger had a bastard baby with a recent gen Civic.

Just test drove this car and I loved it but then I test drove the Mercedes A220 4matic and the CLA 250 4matic, Mercedes definitely more luxurious and more beautiful IMO. Not sure which is better in terms of reliability though?

I drove both too, I would say the Mercedes has a lot of ``fancy`` stuff inside but seems like crap material plastic, is like entering a dollar store... The quality of the BMW the material is way superior and more serious, everything in their place. Another thing is the steering wheel, on the Mercedes is too light, nothing sportive at all. I didn't like that. I am going with BMW but thinking in a Serie 1 M135.

Strictly speaking, a sedan and coupe are distinguished by the sloping of the rear glass and truncation of the trunk, not the number of doors. Thus, some two door cars are properly described as sedans, while some four door cars are properly described as coupes.

Coupe comes from French couper, to cut, not about doors & dates back to horse-drawn carriage coachbuilding with different rooflines, like here. BMW went to GC to replace GT.

Coming from a 2004 325, I really hate the new interior. No wood anywhere. Cheap, plastic shifter that always stays in the same spot no matter what drive mode you're in. Cheap, plastic parking brake switch, that also does not change positions. (What was wrong with the simple hand-pull style? No ambiguity there!) The turn signal stalk is not as crappy as before, feels OK now. The door paneling and dash all feels very convoluted and cheap plastic, not at all what I am used to from the elegant luxury of my E46. Switching into manual and using high RPMs for quicker response doesn't work on this engine because your max throttle is at 1750 RPM and you have to wait for the turbo lag, which isn't very long, but it's long enough to make me feel like I'm asking the engine to get up off its couch and go mow my lawn. The whole car feels like it could surely handle well at speed when asked or begged but it does not feel like it WANTS you to drive it that way. I would just recommend you to get the 3-cylinder version or maybe the diesel because at least that way you won't be tempted to ask the car to do something it did not really want to do. I don't care how much extra it costs in repairs, get an Alfa Giulia and thank me later!!

Yes but you can say the same about any new car😊 Just like the big used diesel pusher RV I want to buy for 100K and new it’s 700K. Sometimes people just want new. What used BMW would you get? I’d go for a used BMW Z4M

45k base price is in Canada as this is a Canadian Channel. It's about 36k base price in the US and 38 and some change for the X drive. That's cheaper than the VW GTI Autobahn. I know which I'd pick
