It’s a shame that BMW only offers the 2 in turbo charged form. I get it, if the made a lower power NA base model it would probably take too many enthusiasts away from the M models. That wouldn’t really be a problem imo. If people could get a new 2 series with an i6/manual/RWD I’m pretty sure it would have been one of the best selling coupes of the last 20 years. There’s a huge void in the automotive world right now, it sits right between the $30k entry sports cars like the Miata’s, Toybaru’s and the $80k M’s, Cayman’s etc. All I want is a lightish weight, small displacement, manual sports car that’s a little nicer and more grown up then the entry level.

Truth, as a former owner of a few (5) BMWS - 318, 325, X5 (2011), and an M5 (2014), the "modern" BMW I've test driven has gone to the dogs. Crappy transmissions, slushy handling, imprecise brakes that overheat easily. Remember how the old BMW's felt? That's gone. Replaced with a $92k mini track car with alcantara?
