In the end it’s personal preference. I personally think that BMW has always focussed on the driver and driving experience and still does now, compared to mercedes and audi. There are just the little things like the center console being angled towards the driver that make the driving experience better than in a merc or audi IMO.

The buyer will have to decide what is important. point and squirt performance in the city? If handling is #1...buy a 911...so what if they only do 0 to 60 in 3.6s or so. Would any one notice a difference of about 1s? What's important? More fun? 911....but I wouldn't not consider the M8...as my driving is all in city. Point and shoot driving. Suits the M8. Most of us don't have the driving skill any way to push any sports cars to their limits. Or anywhere close to half way..

Yea id rather have the S63 coupe for the money. Its like they designed a 6 series and then charged double the price for it. It is way too much to be worth buying new. The S63 has similar power, better handling, just as comfortable if not more comfortable, a usable back seat, and plus it has a special interior. Not one modified from a 5 series.

Right, I agree because in terms of performance it dosent really need it, but in terms of where the industry is going, 10-speeds are real deal now and BMW was one of the first if not the first to bring the 8-speed. Is time to move on
