That’s a lot of tech , definitely can help to keep you safe in odd situations. I’m so used to riding a non abs ride it would probably spook me at first. Keeping my distance, and lowering speeds in odd conditions has been my savior. Great video, and beautiful ride.

It is definitely a weird feeling...it kicks on in the rear all the time but it is a life saver up front for sure if it is ever needed.

Appreciate the feedback. Modern ABS is really a remarkable technology when you break it down. There are so many things we kind of take for granted from an engineering perspective...at least I know I do!

very informative vlog TBRD, I may need to evaluate my ABS. thanks for sharing.

I appreciate the support. ABS seems like a strange thing for folks to be standoffish on but I find it is one of those topics that is sometimes more polarizing than expected. Unless you are doing a ton of dirt riding it is better to have it vs. not.

@@ThrottleBackRubberDown you're welcome brother. Snow tyre video 🙃 maybe. Nah, fair play. Weather in pants here in the UK as well. Been tough to get content done, plus these lockdowns etc. Got the Z900RS video going live on Friday, using the new Tascam and new helmet as well. Then some car stuff too, possibly also the new Toyota GR Yaris 😁

@@Revviews Damn! I wish the states had that Yaris. I have heard nothing but great things about it. I got what will probably be the only ride of the week in today. Hoping my video and audio works out, hahaha. Too tired to check it out tonight. Throwing together a dangerous drivers mashup from my last month or two mixed in with some good riding practices/tips. I think it will be a fun one.

Like your video's a lot. Do you maybe know which bodyparts has to be removed to change the airfilter? I know on a '15-'19 you only have to remove the front tankpanel, but the '20 looks very different. Thanks!!

That is a great question. I have spent an hour or so of digging and can't locate definitive information. I know it gets changed at 6,000 miles on my side of the pond. I will talk to the shop when I have it down and get a direct response and let you know if you don't find out by then.

Hi... Is it possible like in multistrada decided to make fine tune on suspension settings? Or you have just the programmed road dynamic? I tried xr 2020 but not so many times to check... I'm sure for multi cos I had a 1260s. I tried last week multi v4 but I don't like 19inch wheel so I must take a decision for this spring... Thanks...
@ThrottleBackRubberDown3 жыл бұрын
So the settings are only as programmable as you can see in that video. One of the things I thought Ducati did a little bit better was offer more fine tuning in their settings. Having said that...I don't think 99.99% of riders, myself included, need more or would be able to tell they need more than what this bike offers. I, too, don't like the wheels on the new Multi...I think they missed the mark there.

@@ThrottleBackRubberDown thanks.... Well you have to ride it, is a great bike and I prefare the engine to the s1000xr that I rode as I mention (I cant remember if I told you).... Even if it's a 4 cylinder has more grunt and punch on the low and medium rpm, is a better engine for road ride.... But as I told you.... the wheel.... Doesnt fit at all for me, so I will see this summer ... Or for a cheap bike just for this year as the good tracer 9gt, or for a s1000xr maybe with 2000 3000km.... I'm sure ducati will make a 17-17 next year....Sure,,,, Hope...

I have ABS on the Wide Glide I got recently. You can't change anything on it. I'm trying to figure a way turn it off. I feel like I can brake better without it.
@dualsportdiary11503 жыл бұрын
I know guys on ADV bikes pull the fuse when they go off-road. Is that an option for you? I suggested they could wire in a switch after the fuse to simply flick a switch, they all turned their noses to that idea. I figured that would be easier than stopping to pull and insert a fuse everytime you leave the highway.
@EasyRiderGreg3 жыл бұрын
@@dualsportdiary1150 I don't know why they would rather pull a fuse and put it back in each time. The switch seems like a great idea to me. I'm going to try that pulling the fuse to see what happens. If that turns it off without unwanted side effects, I see a switch as a mod I need. Thanks.

It took a little adjusting to ABS mentally but in the end it definitely is doing more good than harm 99/100. Unless riding offroad I think riders are better with it than without. I find it a little annoying on the rear wheel but it is a life saver up front!
@dualsportdiary11503 жыл бұрын
Also im not a safety Sally. BUT, I must mention if you crash and there is your skid mark going right into a new Mercedes Benz. A smart crash scene investigator will question why a vehicle with ABS layed a 20 foot skid marks. Im pretty sure there are laws against disabling safety features on a DOT vehicle. Just have to throw that out there.
@EasyRiderGreg3 жыл бұрын
@@dualsportdiary1150 There are federal laws but here in Arizona most of the federal laws are not mirrored in the state statutes in fact we have many state laws specifically prohibiting enforcement of federal laws. It is legal for a company to make machine guns for sale solely in Arizona. However I know of no company that has done so since that law was passed 4 years ago. Our Motorcycle equipment laws are completely different from the federal ones. For instance turn signals are not required nor is the day time use of headlights. It is legal to purchase, install and operate on public roads non DOT approved lights, tires, brakes, ect. just to name a few. Many states that aren't liberal controlled nanny states don't require or enforce lots of federal requirements.
