Great review 👍 These teardrops are starting to appeal to me more and more these days and it was good to see a good honest review. A good level of inclusions in a pretty robust package. Thanks

That’s it mate, super quick setup and more than what most people would need for a good short weekend stay or a round the country lap indeed. Definitely on my wish list for the later years of touring 😉 thanks for the feedback 👍

Do you know what the towball weight is for this van? It’s got to be able to be towed by a Jimny
@4WheelingInNSW2 жыл бұрын
I couldn’t tell you for sure off the top of my head sorry but as a general rule of thumb, the ball weight is usually approx 10-15% of the trailers weight so these at 750 kg’s, I’d say approx 75 - 100 kgs ... however if you want to know for sure, I’d check with Frank at www.theteardropcampercompany.com.au You would have to make sure you install a trailer brake controller inside your car too as anything 750 kg and over must have a brake controller fitted by law. They do have some lighter models for smaller vehicles and depending on how often and how rugged your offloading is they, one of those may be suitable too. Thanks for your interest mate 😉👍🇦🇺

Great review Grant, I can't see it on their web site, any chance of the price for this one ? Thanks again,
@4WheelingInNSW4 жыл бұрын
Maybe have a look on their facebook page as they have some indicative pricing on there. I think Frank said he's currently having his website redesigned as we speak so may not be up to date on there.... don't quote me on it but I believe this style start around $15,000 and then go up from there depending on how many accessories and which options you select. Top of the range I think he said is around $40,000 and even at that, you're getting quite a lot of bang for buck, especially when comparing to some of the ones available in the US where they're very popular. Cheers mate

Fully kitted out, I think it was around $40,000 however it depends on what gear you opt for. Full details can be found at their website - www.TheTeardropCamperCompany.com.au Cheers

Nowhere to shower and nowhere to fit one. Needs a little more space. A popout joolca and shower tent, and it might be onto something.
@4WheelingInNSW3 жыл бұрын
The owner is constantly working and tweaking designs so I’m sure it’s on the cards 😁👍 nothing a set of roof racks up on top wouldn’t fix for that. We normally just use a pop up shower ensuite - super quick to set up and the advantage with that is you can set up your shower whenever you like which helps keep all the excess water away from the sides where you would be entering and exiting the side doors.
