I agree, Malibu is absolutely no comparison to to The Impala. And you’re right on the price of the Malibu. No way I’d pay $32,000 for A Malibu. Fact , I’d buy a “used” Impala, Before I’d even think about buying A brand new Malibu. Chevy is ridiculous, They should have discontinued the Cruze and Malibu and kept The Impala.

It is the base model so you don't really expect much but the malibu you saw was probably the Premier top trim that probably why it was the same price

32K is priced well, you said Malibu in showroom was 32K and with Malibu, 4 banger & less seat room & trunk. LTZ went away in 2017, Top model is now Premier

I had a question on the key. I know it's a pushbutton start, so is the fold-out key inside the fob in case your battery dies and you still need to open the door? Also I agree no way in hell I'd pay over 30K for a Malibu (even in Premier trim) when you can get the base LT Impala for around the same.

Yeah you can still open the doors with the regular key it should have a key hole on the door if not it’s covered and you would have to remove the cover over the key hole.

Once again chevy has shot theirselves in the foot ?get rid of the Malibu but keep the impala which is more popular with customers? The whole range of chevy gmc products need condensing to many different models on offer ? Confusing to the average person or customer? Just produce the vehicles that sell well and discontinue the models that don't ? Very simple.? Could save gm a lot of money 💰 overall.
