I messed with the brakes to fix a broken stud in the wheel hub, tripped all the lights. I ended up, disconnecting the battery overnight, without reconnecting the battery pressing the brake until I was hard, connected the battery, ran the Bluetooth code reader and wiping the codes, turned off and let sit before actually cranking engine. That did the trick

Nope couldn’t get it to go in brake service mode but once I hit the parking break and released it a few times it seemed to reset the pistons and fill them up with fluid again so my brakes felt normal again been driving around everything seems to be back to normal

I have a 2020 trail boss. I changed front and rear pads and put vehicle in a service mode and it still have codes. I’ve tried your method and it did not work. I disconnected both battery terminals then wait waited 15 minutes like you suggested and it still have codes on my truck.

Had the same problem yesterday searched KZbin and came across this video and was going to disconnect my battery today and try it , but I also read on a forum and a guy on there said he just drove his around turning it on and off ever so often and it cleared up , well today I went to get in it to pop the hood and tried it again and turned it on and it was cleared up so I guess it fixed itself 😂

I just replaced my brake pads on a 2019 Chev Silvearado RST... did all the proper procedures, put the brake service mode in, took it out of brake service mode...but like you...the dash lit up like a Christmas tree...Service Engine, Service ESC.. speed limited to 43mph, etc.etc...etc I tried disconnecting the battery..no luck. I tried clearing the codes with a scanner... luckily my brother has one.... no luck. Codes were still in.. The new sensors need to contact the rotor, i took it for a ride, constant braking, to get the sensors communicating... After the ride, with constant braking... all of the codes went away.. I still had a Service Engine code, but that went away after disconnecting the battery for a half hour. Hope this helps I was told by a mechanic that I shouldn't have disconnected the E-brake, not sure if that what caused this chaos...😂

My issue- I caused a leak on the passenger side caliper after replacing the brake pads, when I pressed the outer bottom piston in it went in at an angle then I used a c-clamp which scared the piston long story short… I f-d up the caliper! So I replaced it and bled , disconnected the battery, drove around the block, turned truck off, 10 minutes later turned it back on, and codes went away except engine light . Live n learn 😣 2019 GMC sierra Denali.

Did the problem come back? I have a 2019 Silverado high country that has a hiccup every so often. This last time was the worst it’s had so far that my transmission started acting funny, SERVICE, Esc, brake failure, service trailer brake and check engine light came on. My brakes actually stopped working as I was pulling up to my house. I can reset the system without unplugging the battery and it run perfectly after. I can’t get the problem figured out

He didn’t lie you gotta drive your truck for at least 20 minutes & it’ll reset the check engine light maybe on if you dont know about the brake safety system that u have to enable

Am having same issue I took it to dealership told me they had to electronically bleed my brakes called me few days later paid 500 said it was good when I got in my truck still same codes they worked on it another day next day said my master brake cylinder was bad and it would be 1200 for part and with labor 2500. Didnt let them work on it and they still kept my 500. And now stuck with a broken truck all because i didnt put the truck on service mode

Try using a scanner tool with ABS capabilities and delete all the ABS codes.

2019 LT. My truck ran great till just now. I have not recently done work. Pulled out park while breaking and car moved forward and brakes felt unresponsive. Got 45 mile max break failure code. Reversed and pushed breaks hard to get back into parking. Turn truck on off, same error. Drove about 30 yds, stopped resistintly. Turned off truck jumped out, closed door hit alarm. Went back in, turned back on, code gone and breaks work. What should I do?

Once I got done with the break job there was a ton of warning lights on my dash the message came up about my engine power as far as it will be reduced and I can't exceed the speed light of 45MPH. I test drove it and it definitely limited my speed so I was about to take it to put the scanner on it but I disconnected the battery for 10min and it whip everything out I haven't had any issues at all its running great

I changed my front breaks and sec code came on. I’ll disconnect the battery. But my issue is my breaks aren’t working properly. I have to press hard just to slow down. What could that be?

Ok lol so I pressed the breaks until the pedal sank in. (Truck was off) And that fixed the “esc,sec” code light. It turned off and the breaks are working properly now. But my service engine light is still on. So I’ll try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes to see if that works

To avoid doing all that nonsense to put your truck in brake service mode “Start your truck put foot on brake and push parking brake button for 10-15sec you’ll see a orange wrench on dash release foot from brake and push parking brake one time it’s in service brake mode

i posted this comment on another video, its sucks there isnt too much out there for the trailboss, bitter sweet right? thank you so much for this video, i kind of did all the work before watching this. i have a 2020 silverado trailboss LT and let me tell you. ive been changing brakes for years and the way they make these brakes no is stupid. Growing up i never had to disconnect a battery to do a simple brake job. But at the same time im very impressed with how easy it is changing them on the trail boss when everything goes right. any Do it yourself machanic knows any 30 minute job can turn into hours of frustration. what i took from your video was the park service mode for the back breaks. im not even going to get started on that one, i spent 2 hours twisting that motor in 😭😭😭😭😭😭 but currently right now, i had all sorts of lights and the way i got them off was disconnecting battery for like a half hour. check engine light is still on, giving me codes of C0560 and p25a2 and i cant figure it out for the life of me. maybe it needs to "learn" again
