2020 chrysler pacifica hybrid refresh mode explained

This video shows when your vehicle goes into fuel and oil refreshment you need to park it and let it finish the target temperature at which the vehicle shut off was 230ﾟF for the oil temperature so if you keep shutting the vehicle off every time you start it and go with a full battery it will still run your fuel combustion engine so if you get this message park the vehicle and give it 15 20 minutes to let it refresh and after that it will operate just like it was supposed to as a plug in hybrid.

Thank you for doing this test. How often are you changing your oil? I don't know if I buy the whole change based on age. I get the heating it up to boil off the water but I only seem to do around 1000 miles a year on gas. I end up doing longer trips just to make room in the tank to add fresh gas.

I also don't change it based on age but I change it every 10000 miles on the adometer which for me is about 3 to 4000 on the gas engine and the rest is electric. I run good oil but in all my cars I change about 4 to 6K evej if its years

We purchased a Jeep 4XE hybrid last summer and live in Michigan. So far, no matter what we do it will NOT come out of refresh mode. Gas prices are soaring and we have an electric option on our car that we can't use!!! WTF???

Well on the jeeps you have an actual switch that allows you to run it in gasoline only mode and hybrid only mode or let it do its own thing so you have to find that switch on your dashboard.. The Chrysler of minivan does not have this option. So make sure you are not in gasoline only mode on that toggle switch or flip switch that you will have inside of the code

my Pacifica has been stuck in FORM mode for a week. drove 200 miles, refuled, changed oil. HELP?

Yes, so the vehicle is not getting as hot as it wants to. And it will stay in that mode until it Heats up properly. So what I suggest is you can stop and leave the car on. Which is what I did and it will stay on for UP to an hour or more And run very hot to clean up the oil. Ultimately what it's trying to do is drive any moisture out from the oil by getting it hot. The annoyance is that the vehicle will not run in the electric mode properly when the clean oil mode turns on... So if that mode is on, just parked the car and leave it on, it will get pretty hot.

@@ne7s29 Idled the car yesterday in 85ºF weather and the car would not go above 210º for Oil and motor kept cycling. I had already tried adding 5+ gallons of fuel. Also tried resetting the oil life indicator, car is only 6 months from build and less than 800 miles when it first entered FORM. I drove over 100 miles yesterday and didn't shut it off for over 2.5 hrs and it never got hot enough despite sitting and idling several times. This morning after a 15 mile drive I let it idle and it finally did heat up and exceeded 230ºF Oil - BUT how do you know when it exits the mode? Does the message go away without interaction? Of course that is moot since to watch the oil temp I had to press a key resulting in the FORM message disappearing. Is it possible to monitor via OBD port if FORM is active, or I suppose next time I will monitor oil temp via OBD and leave the FORM message on the dashboard.

@@ne7s29 I think it's trying to get the oil to temp to vaporize gasoline that's in the engine. At least that's what I've read elsewhere.

Dis have a issue right after I bought it with it freezing when trying to start it. It would freeze for like 45min. No response from key or locking. Car would just need 45 before it would reset. But a few dealers visits and they did some update. No issues since. Like 17k on it. Doesn't have the issue of shutting off when driving. Never did that. Mpg is like 30 if going 75. Like 33 going 70. County 55mph I get close to 40mpg with hybrid only mode. Battery I've gotten 42 miles on one charge but usually in summer you get 30-35 if u drive easy.
