Newman's wreck at the end of that race was one of the scariest crashes I've ever seen. I genuinely turned my TV off when i saw the aftermath because I thought it was about to explode and didn’t want to see a driver burn to death on live TV.

And 4 legends would return to race. 3 on sims, and a fourth in real life. Cup races would be run on Sunday and Wednesday with no fans after a 2 month long absence. But on that Monday night, they knew not that Newman’s wreck was only the beginning.

Ok ok, I understand this is 2 years later, and I don't wanna spark controversy or anything, but my step-dad and I figured out smth about Newman's crash. It wasn't entirely Blaney's fault, it wasn't entirely the high speed packages fault, and it wasn't entirely Newman's blocking either. It was Denny Hamlin. So, when Hamlin gave Blaney a push coming off of 4, he was going about 6-8 MPH faster than Blaney, making Blaney get loose and go to the bottom, but it also boosted his speed more. When Newman came down to block, he was already slowing down due to the lack of draft, so when he blocked, Blaney had too much of a run and spun him, but had it not been for Hamling getting Blaney loose, this wouldn't have happened. And I apologize for seeming like a hater, nerd, or of I'm late, but I just wanted to share this info with yall.

If you really think he wanted to almost kill Newman with that move, then you also probably think Sterling Marlin planned to kill Earnhardt when touching his left rear on the final lap. The thing that these two incidents have in common is the intention, neither one of them intended on doing anything of what actually happened. Was it unfortunate? Absolutely. But it was all accidental, not intentional.
