I really enjoy your reviews, but thought I'd comment about the spare tire issue. The reason the Scat Packs and other sporty models don't have a spare tire is because they cannot find a donut or temporary spare that will fit over the Brembo brakes and still fit in the trunk. It is an option for the V6 models as they don't have the large Brembos. We have a 2018 Scat Pack and when we go on long road trips we take a full size spare just in case in the trunk above the battery area.

@@synphany Did both have the Brembo brakes? Perhaps the Charger has a larger opening in the trunk that can accommodate the full size wheel/spare, but our Challenger can't even with everything removed. I believe the spare you're talking about might be an 18" instead of the full size 20" that comes on the car.

@@byronbarnes7672 better gas solves that problem LOL and yes I would know , I have two HEMI motors and had a 318 for 17 years . The 318 was still strong after 250,000 miles only had one issue a $ 25 sensor kept going out every 35,000 miles or so after the motor hit around 150,000 miles . My one HEMI has 145, 000 miles and have done nothing to it except change spark plugs , oil , antifreeze and filters but your right if I run cheap gas in them the valves tick .

I'm sure someone pointed it out already, but the vents in either side of the hood serve two functions. The first one you already mentioned, ventilation. The second and most important however, is to allow air pressure that would normally build up under the hood at high speeds to be released upwards through the hood. This helps reduce lift and excess drag in the front of the vehicle at high speeds, increasing stability. It might come as a surprise to some, but a lot of engineering went into that hood.

This is the extent of the engineering that went into the hood. Dodge engineer 1: we need to engineer a hood. Dodge engineer 2: ahh fuck it just stick some vents in it and put a few bulges on it.

More importantly they extract heat from the engine compartment which helps it to run cooler. The shaker models actually run a little hotter.

I drove my new "last of the stick shift" Scat Pack in zero degree temps from Iowa back to my home in Minneapolis over the weekend. Everything is perfect for me in this vehicle. It fits me to a T, is really easy to control, and the compliments from strangers has been really positive. I drove my 90 year old dad to breakfast today and the first thing he says, which is contra to his usual demeanor, was "OH, I thought it was going to be orange or some bright color!" 😄 I'm 60 years old, and I purposely bought Triple Nickle color so I wouldn't stand out. I absolutely love rowing through the gears on the Challenger and I will bring it out to Rock Falls Raceway WI this summer. TIP: Tell your sales person that you want to keep the yellow front spoiler "in-transit" guards because I found out some dealers toss then out. Thanks for the video!

I have a 19 scat pack. The media unit or head unit is fantastic. The competition doesn't have anything like it especially the performance pages. I love that my car looks mean and beastly. Those pipes that sound so good? They sound great while driving too and the sound is authentic not like mustangs that have fake noise pumped in through the speakers. Challengers are the perfect daily driver muscle car.

Have seen lots of videos about down shifting automatic with paddle shifter for roll racing. When I use paddle to downshift even when in drive the dash says I am in manual. Will my trans. still shift on its own without hitting the rev limiter and shutting down? I have a 2020 Challenger Scat Pack. Obviously I need to be in sport mode. It’s a great feature but I tried it once and over revved the engine.

Just picked up a 2017 SRT392, Dodge replaced SRT with Scat Pack for 2019 and took away features; Leather, power adjust steering wheel, Harmon Kardon 19 speaker, and ventilated seats. Also, Brembos were downgraded from 6 piston to four.

I love mine. Q. Has anybody else had the same experience that I have of when my vehicle is in custom mode which are driving track mode that's my custom mode from my house to my parents house this is approximately 30 miles when I leave my house I can leave my house with the fuel light on so when I have 17 miles to empty yet halfway to my mother's house which is about 15 miles 30 miles total my fuel light goes off and by the time I do get to my parents house I have gained almost 10 miles I understand City is what eats up your gas. But it's about 60/40 hwy/city.

Yup they have a package for that costs about 1500 dollars i think it is called the technology package, adds a lot of tech things in the car, HID headlamps and fog lamps, navigation heated and cooled seats, etc etc.
