Bought a 2019 Scat Pack Widebody and frickin love it. Getting on the gas and just feeling that feeling of being sucked into the seat is awesome. I thoroughly enjoy driving this car every time I get into it. There are of course a few things I wish Dodge would have given more attention to but I still absolutely love it. I went this route over the Camaro (which I drove and really didn't like and a mustang which was hard after riding in my cousin's 2019 Bullitt). I feel that the look just nails that old/new look. Mine is white with black stripes and it just looks so damn good!

Its nice to see a scat pack get some shine. I love mine. Its not a widebody though. Scat packs are the sweet spot. Hellcats have too much horsepower for a daily driver and basic RTs don't really have enough. Challengers really are the best daily driver muscle cars. Those sweet exhaust notes you hear in the cabin are real.....no pumped in fake noise like other cars.
@tacticalyuzu82784 жыл бұрын
What I love about Challengers are that they look nothing like other cars on the road. It looks super unique and iconic. Maybe in the US they are super common&there might be tons of retro drivers out there, but imagine driving this car in places like Europe. It`s going to look outstanding.

Manpreet Singh brother If you’re gonna drop that kind of $$ I’d like to go on a limb and suggest looking into grabbing the king daddy hellcat . Whether that be Pre Owned w/ low miles or Brand New is up to you . I take it you’re buying the car to enjoy for a very very long time and not just turn around and get rid of it within a year or 2 . That being said if you haven’t driven/ experienced a Hellcat i strongly suggest you do . These vehicles share similar bodies but make no mistake about it . Completely different platforms
@evancontos22674 жыл бұрын
Great reviews! One thing nobody mentions is the "feel of the cockpit", the larger roomier, smooth ride, console etc. is really what makes it a better daily driver. Love the Stang and Camaro but they are better sport and track cars. Challenger is better retro cruiser, my biased opinion :-)

It’s like a budget hellcat. My dad has a hellcat redeye widebody. Nice review. Spot on with most of your comments. Took possession of my factory ordered 2019 Challenger R/T Scat Pack last September. The Challenger, in Scat Pack form, IMO, is the only modern day muscle car available today. From it's styling, to it's iconic, naturally aspirated 6.4 liter 392 hemi engine, 485hp and gobbs a torque, it was the only choice. Go Mango, Shaker package, bumblebee stripes, hood pins, adaptive damping suspension, dynamics package with 275's, 8 spd auto, etc. I prefer the narrow body over the wide body. Besides, at the time, you could not get the Shaker package with the wide body configuration. Shaker and Go Mango were must haves for me! I'm also not a fan of supercharged or turbocharged engines, regardless of the output. To each their own, but I prefer a naturally aspirated engine with, as you mentioned, useable horsepower. Perhaps more importantly, it's a blast to drive. It's fun, comfortable and handles amazingly well for its size and weight. The 275's (with the huge front Brembos) were only available with the dynamics package. Once only available on the TA, they were subsequently offered on the Scat Pack. I'm told they will still offer 275's on the 2020, although my initial attempts to spec as such were unsuccessful. The car looks amazing and that Go Mango paint really pops!! The exhaust note is intoxicating... love it! What a great car. More fun than any other sports cars I've owned in the past. The Challenger Scat pack is, in every sense, a true modern day muscle car! Thanks again for the great review. Now, I think I'll go to my garage and admire my Go Mango baby! Drooling is mandatory...

Glad for you and all others interested in ordering this fantastic package. The 275's are great, and I'm not talking the summer tires either. I have the all season Pirellis, and they grip amazingly. I have both, Challenger Scat Pack and Mustang Bullitt. Even if the power is similar, the Challenger is a most comfortable car at low speed, and it becomes a beast when you push the throttle, the torque is awesome. The Mustang is "empty" at low RPM, but over 3500 RPM till almost 7500 RPM it seems that the acceleration has no limit (obviously in a daily driving this is not easy to use, so in fact I enjoy more with the Challenger).

Dodge makes actual American Muscle Cars, not a pony car like a mustang or a Camaro. There is simply very little difference between the Camaro and the Mustang, they're pretty much the same car. The Charger and the Challenger have a very bold and aggressive character to them that the others don't have. Before you call them "boats" it's important to remember Dodge didn't have the intention to make another stripped down pony car like the Mustang or the Camaro. Dodge wanted to make big powerful American Muscle Cars and they did it better than anyone else. No soccer mom looks or soccer mom Ecoboost V6 motors in the Dodge brand, everything is just V8 American Muscle 💪

One feature nobody ever mentions. You can buy these 6.4 Challengers with a 6 speed manual or an 8 speed auto transmission with paddle shifters. With the manual you'll have to pay an additional $1000 gas guzzler tax, so buying the auto at about $1600 is only $600 more than the manual. When you buy the automatic transmission you get a motor with MDS (Multi Displacement System) when driving in normal mode (not Track or Sport modes) 4 cylinder automatically turn off at speeds between 50 and 70 MPH when you're just cruising or following along with traffic getting you really good gas mileage. I see 35 to 50 MPG when running with MDS turned on.

Joe amazing presentation as always. This is my favorite car. Since the RT wide body came out last year I want one so bad. My favorite color has to be the olive green or gray. I love this mango color but I think you would be pulled over by cops every day just because of the color. I'm zonk at you with your permission -) You haven't mentioned if there is any difference between 2019 wb and 2020 wb. I can't see anything different. Do you? Thx again for the nice presentation. Tim from Toronto Canada

Would personally take the charger, but the wide body is amazing. Loved the Seltos premiere vid and hope you'll do more of those soon!

The little cargo nets next to the center console are to stuff the many traffic citations you'll receive into if you don't get a good radar detector.

I wonder if the dead pedal area is confined due to the large front tires and wheels which probably required a larger fender well area? Either way, this car is sweet! Tons of fun! I want one in midnight blue with the red alcantara interior. I'll even take the auto. I've spent too many hours standing on clutches over the years in traffic. Red brake calipers too. One of these days...

That could be it. This thing is a blast to drive automatic or not. You can make it happen my friend.

I love your videos, but my one zonk is going to be that this is a 2019 Challenger, the 2020 Challenger has a flat bottom steering wheel and updated scatpack badging along the dash in the interior.

I'm looking at 3 options. Charger Scat Pack, Challenger Scat Pack, or Mach 1 Mustang.

I just wish they had integrated the wheel fender extensions into the body work. It looks so bad tacked on like that

Is there a difference between a R/T scat pack & SRT scat pack??? Someone answer pls I’m debating on a purchase
@RaitisRides4 жыл бұрын
Nope

The Scat Pack is an R/T. The SRT on it designates the engine and the performance pages. The older SRT 392's were a separate model.

This is the nicest muscle car of all three manufacturers but I wish Ford brought back the Gran Torino and Chevy brought back the Chevelle.

Ford needs to come out with the the 64-67 GTO body stile and they wouldn't be able to keep them on the lots.

In my humble opinion ford should bring back the ‘Galaxie’ and Chevy the ‘Impala’ w/rear drive. Charger has the segment to itself, that new-yes I’m saying it-Camry TRD bieng the closest.

Hey Joe. Another great review. I wish Dodge would bring back the Cuda 4 seater to compare a Cuda pony to the Camaro and Mustang pony cars. The Challenger is a 5 seater and so much bigger. It's hard to give a true comparing. I had my SRT Charger a 2013 that unfortunately had to sell or it would still be in my garage.
