I've owned both. The Rebel is a better daily driver (smoother ride, better mpg, more room), but the PW is better off road, ultra durable, and has a 12,000lb winch. It really just depends how much off roading and how hard of a trail you'll be doing.

I really love videos where no one speaks, or explains anything, or describes what's going on. Not a word, really makes the best KZbin videos ever. No talking. Love it. Even better is the really up close shots where we aa a viewer has no idea or refer a certified how step, or at what angles you are driving in added with the no taking policy, really awesome video

Did those Rebels have rear lockers? I'm surprised that they struggled going up those loose rocks and the Powerwagon did not. I had previously been told that this would be the exact type of terrain where the significantly heavier Powerwagon with 33s would struggle and possibly even get beached. Very interesting video.

Rebels do have lockers. I think they needed a heavier right foot.
@Jrocc8113 жыл бұрын
Yup they have rear lockers. Driver was afraid to stomp on that gas for whatever reason.

I have done worse than that in my Rebel and didnt get stuck, but I am not afraid of using that big pedal on the right.

I have a Rebel and they do have lockers. Not sure how they configured their trucks prior to going up that hill. 4 lo, locker on, traction control off and up the hill you should go.

The biggest take away here is that the Rebel drivers are noobs, on and off the gas pedal, slowing to a stop and trying to restart on an incline. The more experienced driver in the PowerWagon went slow and steady, maintaining momentum. It’s not the truck, it’s the driver. Both trucks are mighty capable off-road.

The first driver doesn't know what he is doing because I have watched other videos where the RAM is the only truck that even beats out the Jeeps. This hill is nothing, inexperience is a killer. You have to keep going, they are babying it too much for some reason. Good video, but after months of research I can tell you that RAM outdoes Ford and Chevy and Jeep on the trails.

@soldierofliberty only if it’s properly equipped with air and tow package. I had a limited 1500 Kentucky derby edition. I’m all about the limited editions. Rebel is in its own lil works now, pretty non impressive IMO too. Not great at anything.
@Jrocc8113 жыл бұрын
It all comes down to what a owner needs it to do. Rebels have no real compassion to other trucks in its class(2021) like the PW. They really are setting the bar in their respective classes. The 2022 1500 Tremor will be the real compassion.
@snakegs42033 жыл бұрын
@@Jrocc811 rebels are what a lazy man does bc they don’t want to take a non rebel 1500 and really make it a off road contender. IMO It’s all basic off road aftermarket but you get it as OEM. Nehhh I did get rid of my PW. It was so weak on towing. 6400 lb bumper pull and it was getting 200 miles or less range at 6-8.2 mpg. Decided to trade in and i got a 21” 2500 mega can limited w Ram air and the Cummins
@lawman88772 жыл бұрын
@soldierofliberty it is rated for more in the right package but it will never feel as stable as a power wagon towing. The rebel is alot lighter smaller brakes and smaller axles it may be rated higher but it's still a 1500 vs a 2500
