I own a 2011 Kavango, so does three of our friends. We do a lot serious off road travel through SA and neighboring countries. Never had any issues with the gas stove, never broke or failed, same with our friends. And it's 11 years old now. We do regular short trips during the year, long weekends, etc. The stove had to stand in during a few loadshedding periods as well, never a issue.

I bought one of these in Australia but a 4 sleeper. Just wondering do all chobe caravans have oxygen and acetylene hoses for the drinking water hose? Or am I just lucky.

I am considering buying an Echo Chobe, how difficult is the Bush wing to put up and take down?

Hi Ant The bush wing swings out and is strapped to the side. It literally takes about 10 minutes for one person do do it. Packing it up into the zip bag is a bit more of a task as you need to roll and zip it. For that I would it as a two person job and can still be done in 10 minutes.

Thanks good vidio. Do you know where i could buy an new geyser like the one your campers got. We got a comander but the geyser gives me a lot off problems. We going to Satara in April and to Khalahri in August. Thanks and take care

Hi Johann The geyser I have is an Atlas 5L Model number 11-N. I tried to look for a supplier online but cannot find that specific. Echo 4x4 fitted mine at the factory in Pretoria. I would suggest phoning them and seeing if they can fit the same to your van. My unit works like a charm.

Hi Neil. Ek geniet jou reviews. Dis altyd baie deeglik. Het jy nog jou Chobe? Is daar enige iets wat jy sal verander of nie van hou nie. Ek dink dit is ‘n baie goeie wa wat goed uitgelê is. Ek is in die proses om een te bestel en wil net weet waarvoor m uit te kyk. Ek weet daar is al ‘n paar goed verander op die nuwes.
