If you have the city fixture setting you don’t have to have the pump on? Sorry with the question we’re newbies.

that is right - the pressure from the city provides the water pressure - u only need the pump on for when ur driving or camping where no water is available - we have a Jayco red hawk too

How do I know when the tank is full?

It will run out of the overflow hoses under the coach.
