Hello! I stumbled upon you years ago. Was a student back then so all of this was just a dream to me but so educational and also greatly satisfied my curiosity. Its even more inspiring to see that you're from Malaysia aswell! I have now migrated to Australia but if life ever takes me back home to Malaysia, I so want to get into this. Just watching your Koi, arowanas and the like grow. I just feel your love for the fish and its so contagious!

wow thanks so much for the enthusiasm and kind words brother. Australia has some pretty cool fish too like jardinis and such. u may not have to wait to come back here. take care and all the best!

Your fishes really show how big some of these fishes get and how they shouldn’t be kept in a fish tank. Glad to see someone who care so much about their fish.

Awesome as always. Found a new home for my clown knife. A guy near me has a 12’x3’x3’ tank. He has my mates iridescent shark. It sucks I have to get rid of him but I’m happy that he’ll have a better home than I can provide.

As I live vicariously through you and Viktor in Florida, you ever going to try those blue finned Mahseers? Or some other giant Cyprinids? I got a kick out of seeing the Pleco give attitude to the huge Pseudoras. Wouldn't budge..much.

Are you using the reverse flow undergravel filters like Ohio Fish Rescue? Those heavy duty plastic boxes over pipes? I don't think you've ever shown the filtration,the pump..all the usual pond guys post.

I added a 3 inch albino pacu to my koi pond January 23rd....It grew to 9 inches by March 20th. What I didn't notice was that the little shithead was tearing away at the koi's and albino iridescent shark's tails, and these guys range from 20 inches to 34 inches long. So keep an eye on your albino pacus' behavior toward the koi.

Any advice on pellet training my GCB Arowana pls? I bought him 6 months ago n he was being fed live goldfish at the store. I didn’t want to feed him live fish so I tried mealworms which he ate. But he won’t take pellets or frozen thawed shrimp. I’ve kept him hungry for days n he still won’t eat. How many days can I starve him so he eats what I offer? His will seems to be stronger than mine :)
@MyAquaticDiary4 жыл бұрын
depending on the size of them they can go hungry for quite long... if they are young make sure he gets a good meal.. then starve for up to a week! everyday put in a bit of pellets and see if he eats.. if he doesnt eat in a week then give him HALF a meal.. then starve again.. repeat... Also keeping him with other pellet eating fish helps cause they copy each other. I was really lucky that mine ate pellets from day 1! he just copied the silver arowanas. Also use arowana/predator pellets which have a stronger smell.. i doubt they will eat koi pellets.
