Will running connecting your vehicle to WiFi and scanning for updates fix these codes? How do you connect a laptop to it or does it have to go to the dealership? Thanks! I miss our old vehicles that were simple!

Does this recall cover a 2020 explorer 2.3 liter awd? My explorer is doing the same thing they say the abs is to latest calibration already

That video is several years old, and no it doesn’t. If I remember correctly Ford had a problem with a few Explorers rolling in park, so they updated the software in all of them to turn the parking brake on when placed in park. Now I think any time any of the software gets updated on a newer Explorer it turns that feature on. I’m surprised more people don’t complain about it. And I really don’t remember seeing anything from Ford telling people they were going to do this. I don’t think there’s a way for a dealership to turn it off with a scan tool since Ford’s doing it intentionally for safety reasons. It might be able to be turned off with Forscan, but Ive never looked into it.

Damn it. Should have not had it updated. Didn’t do it before they did an oil change and update on it. Is there a way just put as built back in to restore factory options

My 2022 F150 does the same thing and so does my mother’s 2023 explore. Unfortunately, it’s a Ford thing. It annoys me on a daily basis.
