I’m sad that Ford has decided to kill this model off. I have a 2018 Titanium and it is a wonderful car. It has given me nothing but sterling service. It’s really shortsighted Ford Motor Company.

Hello Long, can you confirm with me if you need to replace the entire headlight assembly if one of the LED lights goes out? I have the Titanium Edge and it seems I can't replace the headlights with better aftermarket LEDs. Please confirm. Thanks.

You would need to check with your local service department.

This is the only one V6 I know that has annoing engine sound, just like downsizing 3 cyl. crap. heard from inside, well maybe it is generated from audio but it is fact.

The ST line is a V4. Borla exhaust on the ST is amazing

Further dilution of the ST brand. I was okay with the ST going into the SUVs...but this is too much. If you want the sport package, pay for the powertrain.

Here in Europe, this has been going on for a long time already. Both the Focus and Fiesta have the ST line package as an appearance package. With the massive taxes on new car sales, here in the Netherlands it's about a third of the car's price, it is a welcome idea for buyers and those who lease. Full-on RS and ST models often cost more than middle of the range BMW's. The current C8 Corvette is thought to cost around a 100,000 Euro in Germany and about 160,000 in the Netherlands when they go on sale here next year. Part of that is taxes like the on on CO2 emissions. So, people wanting a vehicle that looks like it goes fast but don't want to pay the premium in taxes, gladly go for looks

@@SaffuillaKarman That's true, but now we don't even have the Focus or Fiesta in the U.S. at all :-(
@SaffuillaKarman4 жыл бұрын
@@cjt7243 Blame the fact that people are just not interested in cars anymore. It is not financially sound to actually build them. Well, import the from Europe, then, you say. Oh wait, that means we need two designs as the various laws between Europe and the US don't match. And the potential numbers sold are not covering the costs of doing so, unless we hike the price up, which will make it even more difficult to sell. Ford is a mass manufacturer who has always played in the middle to lower segment, unlike Porsche. It can't be as adventurous as each time it tried, the company became mired in debt.
@VanquishedAgain3 жыл бұрын
@@SaffuillaKarman the C8 corvette costs 100k in the US too. Don't believe that its 60k, it's not. You can't find any for close to that price. Even if a dealer has a base version they charge 30k over sticker because they can.

Definitely should not have the ST letters without the ST motor. My ST is awesome!

I liked the front end of the 2017 way better than these guppy face cars that all look alike now The 2017 and prior was smoother and more attractive and had a Kia telluride-esque appearance. I also really wish they would stop removing the CD players from cars. What the heck is up with that??? Everyone I know has CD collections that they enjoy playing in their vehicles and I'm not that old.

The ST Line signals to me Ford is going to kill the real ST due to poor sales of the ST☹️.
@VanquishedAgain3 жыл бұрын
Think the ST was about 15% of sales which is pretty good. The price tag is too high though, should have been 47k fully loaded, not 52k
@CrazyPetez3 жыл бұрын
@@VanquishedAgain You could be right. However I’m satisfied with my $52K ST. Exception, Ford should have put a much better transmission in the ST. Shifts are too slow.
@VanquishedAgain3 жыл бұрын
@@CrazyPetez I am too, though I only paid 40k for it brand new. I agree with you that the shift points are ridiculous. This should be doing 5 seconds to 60. The BMW x5 3.0L which has the same HP and less torque and more weight does it in 5 seconds so why is the Edge ST .7 seconds slower? Dumb fuel saving oriented transmission.
@CrazyPetez3 жыл бұрын
@@VanquishedAgain I bought my ST in Buena Park, Southern California. I live in Northern California. I got the dealer to ship the car to me on his dime when it came into the dealer’s location. He also took my trade-in back south. Certainly I paid for that two way shipping in the cost of the car. I’m also prepared to pay $100K (tax & license included) for a new C8 Corvette convertible, so the 52K I paid for the Edge wasn’t a big deal. You can’t take it with you.

The sooner the industry gets away from the ‘Amish’ wheel trend the better. I can remember chrome wheels and that fad went by the wayside. Another current fad that won’t be missed soon is the ‘coal bin’ black interiors.

When I saw that black wheels I thing that is the cheaper model. Its made look it like a cheaper car.

Strange. I think the ones with the black wheels look WAY better than the others, which just look like standard boring mid size SUVs.
