It definitely looks like a gravel race bike. It has those small aero touches like D seatpost and dropped seat stays. Very modern look. Thanks for the great review

Lovely bike have myself, was stuck between riddler 45cc or crosscut 2 45 cc any advice would be highly appreciated
@floridavelogravel78384 жыл бұрын
So the riddler is a good choice for sure...I’ve heard of people doing a riddler and raddler combo...the crosscut has been very good for me here in FL but I’m suspect it’s because of the terrain...I was never planning on using the crosscut for DK 200 So wtb was on my mind....what kind of roads/gravel/trails do you ride? I tend to think location dictates gear selection.

How does it ride fast on road ?
@floridavelogravel78384 жыл бұрын
@@x1brandonx11 with the 38’s on, it’s slower and it feels slower tbh...but I have a tubeless road wheel set that I’ve used on a few rides now, and it feels like my usual TCR and I’m riding my usual average speeds between 18 and 24 mph...
@dennisford81494 жыл бұрын
@@x1brandonx11 usually ride between 16-18mph. And fastest on a down hill was 36 but I was holding it back a bit..but that is with Shiamono 750 RS wheels and Vittoria 30mm Rubino Pro tubeless tires

How come you went with the medium and not medium-large? I'm 5'11" and I've just ordered the medium-large and now I'm doubting myself. But at 5'11" and 32" leg I'm right in the middle of the range for the M-L
@floridavelogravel78383 жыл бұрын
Congrats... the shop that I ride out of would have sold you the med/large based on the numbers, we are the same height and leg length...but I prefer to size down one being that old school race mentality (smaller frame is a bit lighter, don’t judge haha).....but I honestly prefer a smaller feeling frame...my road race bike is a 52...

Have you had any issues with your rear hub on your Revolt? I have gone through two and waiting for the third wheel to be replaced.

So I’ve not had that issue with my revolt...however I have had that with my Giant tcr, it happened 2x, your shop is fixing it for free? What wheel set are you using?

I have seen another review of that saddle,and Zac said after the break in period you end up sitting into the saddle where you feel the rails .

These thoughts also came to my mind when he showed the saddles „flexibility“ in the video. Still cherish my Flite Titanium from the 90s on my XC Mountainbike…Great one.
@alanjohnson83964 жыл бұрын
Nice video. Thanks. Two questions: First since your height base on Giant’s charts would have you borderline between M and ML why did you choose the M sizing? Secondly if this was a road bike would you also choose the M? I’m basically the same height and considering both sizes. Again thanks.
@floridavelogravel78384 жыл бұрын
I always went with a smaller frame, I blame that on my racing brain...I always tried to get lower and save weight where possible...however...the bike shop had both sizes for me to try...being it’s a gravel bike, the bars make the bike feel a bit bigger, when I got on the ml I felt like it was too big...I’ve been using the revolt as my road bike by putting my road rims on, the bike feels like it’s not under me, so I’d say it’s a perfect fit...it’s a good road bike but tbh when I get on my Giant tcr I notice a difference instantly...my tcr is a m too but with 40 for bars instead of 42...

So, I use it as my road bike and gravel bike...I don’t always swap the wheel set out...so sometimes I’m riding the 38 mm tires on road...but I use this bike as my only bike these days (I have other options but this bike is so perfect)...I just swap the wheels depending on the ride or laziness...I’ve used it on the tamer mountain bike trails here in Florida, however there are trails here that you really need a true mountain bike... It’s not a mountain bike...for real mountain bike trails you definitely will still want a mountain bike... I did DH too, amazing experience.
