FMVSS 214P Side Impact performed to assess the WorldSID-50M Anthropomorphic Test Dummy. Uses the FMVSS 214P/NCAP procedure - 75° Angle, 32 Km/h. This revised test procedure features a WorldSID-50M dummy. With the positioning of the occupant, point of contact is further back than what is used in NHTSA's NCAP program.
"The purpose of this test was to evaluate the repeatability, reproducibility, and durability of the WorldSID 50th percentile male ATD (WorldSID-50M) equipped with RibEye™, to determine whether the dummy is a viable option to replace the EuroSID-2 dummy with rib extension modifiers (ES-2re) in future side impact crash tests conducted by NHTSA."
A FMVSS 214P Left-Side Side Pole Crash Test performed at 32 Km/h (20 Mph) on a 2020 GMC Terrain 2WD.
