I think dark spent too much time killing SCVs when he could have been collapsing on reinforcements. 31:50 especially when he's about to clean up the small group of reinforcing marines and tank he just lets it go. That would have been so helpful at the front to stop that tank from getting there before it could do damage.

These players are so good. Innovation was landing his barracks while microing his reaper on the other side the map. Building swap while micro. Quite impressive 👏 I typically click 6 times to just get the building to land exactly on the location.

If there was a hall of fame for banshees, those two in the first game would definetely join. On top of killing insane amount of workers they have picked off a lot of active creep tumors as well.

Great micro and a great series. SPOILERS Why didn't Dark react to the banshees in the first game? He saw them when the first one attacked his half-hearted roach push, and had good scouting on them the whole way. Shocked he didn't have some spores or an overseer on time.

Bc he decided on an unnecessary counter so his spores were late. He threw the first and second game. First game was over when he lost 20 drones vs a godly inno macro with 180+ supply 2-2 push at 10 mins

It was 66 army supply to 18, and the 66 were up 1 and 1 in upgrades, and Dark only had 5 larva. Especially since Terran can get such efficiency with its army (having tanks and running and gunning to maximize this) there's just nothing Dark could have done to beat Innovation's army on such a short clock. Even with the big worker lead, he couldn't mine much on account of only having 3 bases. The biggest point though is that he lost all of his queens trying to defend, so he only had 5 larva when he tapped out and 3 bases to make more from. Even if he somehow killed what Innovation had, the reinforcements would come and Innovation would have a totally insurmountable lead (something like 3 bases to 2 with much better tech and production).

In TvZ, the zerg relies heavily on the terran mismicroing. Perfectly microd marines will always beat ling/bane/ravager. Everything the zerg has relies on the terran misplaying. Think about it. Banes are only good in MASSIVE numbers (Huge gas investment), and rely on the terran not splitting properly. Even if the terran does split and the banes are too numerous, it's still always more cost efficient for the terran. Blinding cloud relies on the terran clumping the tanks. Fungals rely on the terran clumping their marines. Parasitic bomb relies on the terran clumping their air units. All of these abilities are strong, but are rendered completely useless with good micro. Terran is the hardest race, by far, to properly micro, but a perfectly microd bio army with tank support will always shred a zerg player.

Terran is a robust adaptable race, however zerg played well can overwhelm terran. Each races advantages and disadvantages are so numerous that the final result depends completely on the player. Zerg can catch terran off guard and vice versa, everything is situational which is why good players are so fun to watch.

He had 18 army supply in G2 at the end against 50+ from Inno. Without 4 hatches producing lings/banes, he's not going to have larva to get enough units, nor time to make banes. Baneling Nest was exposed at the third too.

He lost when inno broke to the natural splitting the hatches and with no more army to break the contain there was no way he could mass up another vs the contain. It’s similar to how Terran can’t mass an army if their production buildings are being camped.

Innovation is godly at macro. First game- dark threw the game bc spores late due to unnecessary counter. Loses 20 drones vs god macro with 180+ supply 2-2 by 10 min Second game - dark didn’t defend the push and decided to counter and counter. Inno just kept pushing and won. Never basetrade Terran. If dark pulled back and defended it would have went to late game. Both games were mid game Terran wins bc dark threw

Apart from scouting proxies in the early game the overlords are useless scouts. Why park them on edge of creep or outside opponents base , guaranteed way to lose a couple. Also, Tanks can be so abusive on so many maps vs zergs and zergs armies are so inefficient once the terran army is in position and spread out tanks marines. The way to win is minimize army losses by swarming with a larger zerg army like DRG - if you have slightly less army supply as zerg you can't engage or you just get whittled down. If you can hold the attack somehow and sneakily counter attack with a group of Lings as they are fast and own workers that's ideal. Inno was ready for the counter and just attacked at the time in game that terrans are strongest. (Negative of building large army like DRG is bad Econ if the terran sits back and you never know as zerg scouting is so bad.)

INnoVation just abusing Overbuffed terrans. All PRO zergs always lose to innovation when he play for terrans and its not means he much skilled NO. Zerg units to weak vs terrans. Zerg have nothing for kill Terrans 200 vs 200 limits. I watched many matches. always the same. Nuclear rockets very cheap, liberatos have incredible range and zone control, medivak healing, battlecruiser with yamato gun and teleport ?? what ?? stimpack marines, And most ridiculous that sniper shoot - can kill Tarasque. jesus what a hell ?? Hydralisk units uselles - no one build them. zerglings useful only vs protoss - terran can easy kite them with stimpack. Only usefull units its roaches. thats all.
