2020 Guard Meets 2024 Elite Enemy

13-14 Adverse: 3 bird operators only
Chapter 13 hasn't been treating Hellagur well. Lanes with infinite casters body him, he can't keep up with all the blood slugs, and the major elite enemies are things he just can't reasonably kill. On Adverse difficulty, the basic form of the whip elites have 1080 DEF... and the red ones have 1440. Even the with the most optimal conditions here in 13-14, Hellagur is barely able to kill them. If they were the red variant, he'd just die and deal no damage to show for it. And this is without even considering the fact that they can heal themselves!
Even so, I found that no single ranged bird could solo the bottom lane, so the task fell on Hellagur's creaky old bones. Funnily enough, it's impossible for me to duo this map because Pluma and Hellagur alone are incapable of pushing the payload around the corner with all the banned tiles, so Orchid must be added to move it just a bit further. She helps slow some blood slugs that would otherwise get past Pluma, so I guess she actually had a role to play.

Emperors Blades have way lower defenses, like 1k lower defense and their defensive mechanism was reducing attack speed, so it makes sense that he would survive there but not against insane armor enemies.

In same time, Utage, same class guard, but 4* - Hitting only one target, still cut them in half, without risk of heal them up. When not blocking it, can cut red one just in time of skill end. Postscriptum - One difference in damage type and this already enough. Well, sadly, Uta, not a bird.

Whip dudes have surprisingly low RES for a sarkaz enemy, at only 20. Arts is definitely the far better way to deal with them. Granted, 1080 DEF isn’t a lot to get through for most newer ops. Hellagur getting bricked by that much DEF is definitely his largest problem (if you ignore Zuo Le’s existence).

@@Pengod I'd be extremely happy if HG ever considers having reworks or direct buffs for older ops. Modules are sometimes not enough.

@@haiminhtran6170 atm I think more then half year 1-2 OPs need some minor rework/stat revamp. Because, yeah, sure newer players most likely would end up with "new shiny toys", while older players also might have "outdated" operators they build at some point (for reasons) or simply cuz they like their design. That would also make Recruitment 6* tag more... interesting (don't know better word to put it).

@@Isomeria450 Or they can just stop bloating enemies hp and atk for every new event/mod/theme. Like, i don't even remember when i last time use Blue poison with her 105 arts dot passive, excluding event when enemy was need to take certain amount of hits, not damage...

@@QarumCro Passive damage has never been good though. Even year one BP's DoT was never the reason to use her, she was used for multi-targeting.

Question from a fellow bird enjoyer: since hellagur is in kernal is it worth to try to get him or do you think that his role of like a elite enemy counter gets less and less good, because of enemy stats? *I assume that his main role is like fighting big enemies in a 1v1, correct me if I'm wrong

He has some specific uses for low op clears due to his survivability but I think for the most part he’s largely unnecessary if your goal is just to clear a map with any number of birds. The other DPS and healing options are more than enough to substitute for him in most situations.

Considering Zuo Le gets +2 SP/sec for being at low hp, it’d have to be a lot more than just 300 DEF ignore max I think…

wouldn’t it be a 2023 enemy since this enemy was made in 2023 on cn just released 2024, that would mean we dont technically get the 2024 enemies until en catches up with cn lol bc of the timing of the enemy’s conception, while its true the release timing for en was 2024 the design for the enemies was not, also epic video
