There is no saving Harley. They are WAAAAY in the red. They even have “project rewire” going on right now. Cutting 700 jobs to start and focusing on their big twin touring bikes and…wait for it…trikes. Which means they’re focusing on the same old stuff that got them in the red. I’ll be amazed if they don’t file for bankruptcy in the next year or two. Younger people aren’t buying Harleys. Older people are getting too old to ride them and middle age people whose dads rode them despise them because their dads rode them. It’s all over but the crying for Harley. This is what happens when you are a clothing manufacturer first and focus on bikes second. If you’re going to buy a cruiser, why not buy one that’s actually built in the US. Indian. Better technology, liquid cooled and more power.

Excellent, honest review. It’s hard if not impossible with so many options not to change things on a Harley. Not because it’s ugly or cheap but because the changes you make make it more personal for you and your personal taste. It can be addicting. Trust me. My 2011 Street Glide had many changes. My favorite being a stage 5 tire shredder kit. It’s not that I ride fast all the time. I actually baby it. I just like knowing I can & have the power to do so. The sound out of the Vance & Hines power duals with high output slip ons is pretty awesome too. We’re same height and weight so I greatly appreciate the review on your handle bars. I love the look but could never decide if I would have better control and comport? So a huge thanks! Anyway, safe riding & keep the rubber side down. Catch ya on the next one.

@@CalebHoss37804 I have a 2006 Street Glide which is the first year it came out and I just love having that windshield a radio and a place to put my stuff in the bags. I also have a 2002 Softail Deuce which was my first Harley and every time I would go riding with my buddies I'd have to ask them to hold my stuff so it's so nice to be able to pack a bad and hit the road.

I spent 20 years on sport/touring bikes with my dad always trying to get me on a Harley. He passed this year and now I ride his FLHT. I can honestly say I get it now. Nice review of a beautiful bike. That color combo is one of the best.

It’s a beautiful bike you have there. I have a 2016 streetglide and I love it. I’ve made a few cosmetic changes too, the rear shock is a little harsh but it doesn’t really bother me unless I go through some deep bumps. I used to ride an Aprilia crotch rocket but I eventually let it go. That was fun to ride too but it was more limited in distance, comfort and the Harley has a stereo and a navigation and I can hook up my phone to it and me and my wife can go long distances with it. I have no regrets and I get a lot of compliments on it. Thanks for the vid and God bless.

Your comments on the handle bars you put on are interesting. I would never have guessed they would be as comfy as you describe. Your hands look high so I thought maybe on the long haul they would fall asleep but I've not experienced handle bars like yours. Beauty of a bike. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Good honest straight forward..I'm on my third new hog 48 this year and Love my 20 fxlrs ( silver ) . No engine upgrades just slip ons and one off cosmetic mods. I'll get the seat recovered for looks and better grip as I'm pretty much done with bout 4 grand upgrades..At 5"9 and 200 lbs its awesome..maybe bars could be an inch closer but its fine..Thanks Bruh..

Bought a 21 SGS 2 weeks ago, glad to see I’m in good company. See ya on the road! Back here a year later. Love my scooter, but def had to spend more on it to get it looking and handling its best. I went with legend suspension, stage 2 cam, fat tire kit, wrap fender, stretched gas tank, 12 inch bars, stretched side panels, new lepera seat, Vance hine full exhaust, replacement bag lids with audio upgrades, replacement front and rear signals. Probably put in 15k on top of the original purchase price but it looks and sounds and handles awesome.

Great review Sheldon, I went from a SG to a 20 RGS, only upgrade that I made that really surprised me was Legends REVO-A’s on the rear, was probably the best improvement I made. Did led’s, Screaming Eagle exhaust and Heavy Breather with a H-D tune. Beautiful bike man, a really nice complete job and review. Keep the rubber side down. Ride safe.

@Gene Eby I really want to lower my bike and also have a comfortable ride, other than a full air ride suspension there’s basically nothing out there to achieve a lowered suspension in a comfortable ride, but I’m willing to try some things before going that route, because the Revo A’s actually raise the ride height of the bike, and I don’t want that.

@@sheldonsimonsr6083 the revo-a come in either 12 or 13 inches. I put the 12s on and had the sag set at 1” and it is lower when you sit on it. Didn’t want air ride , just something else to have to pay attention to.

I think Natural position depends on the person, I like mine a little back and a little lower. when I had mine up there my fingers would go numb after 20-30 minutes. but everyone's comfort is different and that's why its great to have a motorcycle you can get aftermarket selections for.

Sheldon, Nice review. Spot on. Rear shocks are stiff because of customer requested low seat height. I'm in the market for rear shocks too. Research before you buy. You'll be stunned by what you discover, believe me. Love your ride!!

Wow Great video man! These Street Glides are absolutely beautiful bikes. I have a daughter that will be turning 9 soon and she’s starting to show interest and wants to go for rides. Currently I ride a ZX10R, but once I have it paid off I’m seriously thinking about getting one of these. Looks like the 2021’s have LED headlights now, turns signals don’t look to be tho. Great looking bike! I have a 2019 Street Glide Special and I put Super Shox on and ABSOLUTELY love them! I'm 5'6" and they dropped me 1 1/2" which made it perfect for me. Brian the owner at Super Shox is a Super great helpful guy!

I did the same deal on the headlight took the website to two dealers before one sold it to me for the advertised price changed the seat to a HD low profiled seat love it am 5.7 riding a 15 SG thanks for the video.

Excellent video. You about summed it up perfectly. I did the same sort of mild modifications, but I still kept the original style. I'm thinking about aluminum wheels with regular style 72 or 80 spokes in black like my bike. I did upgrade to Legend front forks, and Legend mono air shocks for the rear. I ordered the same headlight as you did, but we/HD Service are still waiting for them. Instead of Stage II, or Stage III, I bought the 131 kit (not installed yet). Eventually I would inch up to the Stage IV wasting money little by little buying all stages. This is my first Harley-Davidson too, 2019 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic FLHCS 114. The power surprised me.

Great review!!!! I have 2015 streetglide special with the exact advanblack setup just different color. I just installed it 4 days ago very pleased. You're on point about the shocks and factory lights. My shocks got a little better after about 3000 miles but still stiff.

I just bought a new 2020 Street Glide in Stiletto red a week ago and love it to bits. But I’ve noticed bumps on it are not as good as I thought it would be. I don’t know if they can be adjusted better for my weight ( 250) or what??? I changed a few things as well....smoked signals, HD get a grips, highway pegs, quick release backrest, and Vance & Hines 450 Torquer pipes. They aren’t abrasively loud and are on the Big and rumbly sound instead of V & H big shots like on last 5 Harleys. Anyway, I will do stage 1 and bars next summer but I absolutely love this bike. If you’re interested in more power, I tweaked my ‘08 103ci Street Glide with a “Zipper’s” cam kit, Rinehart inverted air cleaner, and Rinehart true dual headers. Holy shit. HUGE difference! Best $2k I’ve ever spent. Almost throws me off the back on a regular basis! Your 114ci w the same tweaks would be sick! I agree re the rear shocks. Crap from the factory. Definitely my next upgrade.

I didn't go for the Street Glide for 2 reasons, not wanting to be a bagger and cost was a lot more. Funny thing now, I am going to add some Viking bags. Want to ride around Texas when I can, but have to respect my first ladies time and she does not want to ride with me. So, I will probably travel around my home city then back home.

@Joe Frias Harley Davidson fat boy motorcycles are some beautiful motorcycles, The Road glide, the street glide, and the fat boy were the three motorcycles I debated purchasing before I ended up choosing the street glide, because it more fit my style, i’m not much of a long distance rider I’m more so around town, but I do have plans to take some longer trips, whether around town or across country stay safe out there rubber side down painted side up

You sure made a great video here with this review. That is a very, very beautiful bike you have there. The review you did on it was awesome how you showed the good and bad, likes and dislikes about your bike. The Street Glide is Harleys money maker and they know it. If you think they won’t see your video on your bike here, don’t be so sure. They build their bikes according to what they see customers like you do and how people customize their bikes just like you have done with yours. People have always said that the rarest Harley is a bone stock Harley. I ride a Road King and I have just as much fun working on it as I do riding it so I understand completely the need to “ Make it Your Own”. Just basically wanted to say I love your bike and ride safe my friend!

Man that is one sweet ride..I have the 2021 Fatboy and kinda have the same problems shocks are hard no matter the setting and the seat was terrible I went with the hammock seat and that helped with the softer ride ,great video
