Great review man, I just bought the 2020 RGS and it is my first ever Harley and now I get it. I'm sipping that Harley cool-aid now and boy is it sweet!

The Road Glide took a while to grow on me, but I am now in the market for one this year to replace my Sport Glide. I will wait to see what H-D improves on the 2021 range as I think the touring bikes need a suspension upgrade.
@TheMotoBarista5 жыл бұрын
Peter Connell agreed, I think now is a bad time to buy a touring bike - I think we will see a response to market trends in the 2021 or maybe 2022 lineup. Would also like to see a stripped down Road Glide without all the speakers and a simplified infotainment/display instead - like the Electra Glide but not hindered in other areas - a sport/performance option perhaps.

My first Harley was. 16 RGS about 20 k on it and can’t say it enough it has been my favorite bike . Been riding over 30 years in upstate ny . Love the sound , the look and especially how I feel when I ride it . To me doesn’t matter what you ride , if it makes you feel good it’s the right bike . Great review and ride safe.

I have a road glide 2015 and let tell you is amazing. So stable well balance very comfortabl and have a lot of power. I have a stage IV and love it. I know you tested drive the 2020 road glide I did too because I was looking for one for myself but it was out of my budget. My personal opinion is road glide are the best bike you can have on the touring side.

Just completed the first thousand miles on my 2020 Road Glide Limited in River Rock Grey. Love my new bike. So incredibly comfortable, especially compared to my BMW RT.

Matthew Taylor amazing! I am hoping in the future they release the RG Limited in Australia- right now we only have the special. Amazing bike. Enjoy, you have an incredible bike in the absolute best colour! ✌️⚡️

River Rock Grey is one of the most gorgeous colors Harley has ever done. I swear if i can get a Fat Boy within this model year, I will be getting the River Rock Grey one. I'm a sucker for military colors and Metal Flake colors. And river rock is both. Such a beautiful paint job. Baracuda Silver Denim this year is also crazy beautiful.

Now that you rode the BIG v-twin baggers, can you do a review of the performance and ride of a soft tail frame vs a touring frame and why choose one over the other. I ride an SG and after seeing Laidlaw's Coast Glide I'm thinking of adding a fixed faring onto the SG and get a little touring advantage without giving up my soft tail frame. I'm looking for that happy place between a big bagger and the open sporty SG.
@TheMotoBarista5 жыл бұрын
Gene Clarke will done Gene! Are you thinking of going with same FXRT fairing?
@geneclarke22055 жыл бұрын
@@TheMotoBarista I was looking at the Wedge II by Blackmore custom built for around $1,800 U.S. with LED's and touring windscreen and then painted to match for an additional $250. Not a cheap addition but it looks like a way to keep my SG but gain some (less than perfect) touring advantages. I have a tour pak on my SG which works great for weekend camping and the fairing will position the bike as a middle weight touring machine. But you never know about these things until you get on and ride.
@TheMotoBarista5 жыл бұрын
Gene Clarke oh nice, yeh that fairing looks mean! You’ll definitely benefit from the lighter frame if you want to take the bike fast through tighter bends and easily zip around town. The touring bikes are a lot smoother in my opinion due to rubber mounting and even the extra weight keeps it planted and smooth on the road + 114 is a bit more smooth. I also like the extra sense of space on the touring the bikes, particularly if I was going distance. But, for all around riding - commuting, twisties and some distance - I love my sport glide. Essentially both families can do the same thing, they just favour certain areas of riding. I think in the future when HD updates the touring frame and features - then it will be a different story. For now, I would stick softail.

Great review Michael again, but yes can't wait for your Go Pro helmet cam footage. I still prefer the Batwing fairing over the shark nose as I am only 5'10, it just feels more comfortable as I don't have that reach to the infotainment system, plus I think it just looks better. Love that river rock grey in both the denim & metallic, it looks sweet. Cheers mate, ride safe always.👍😎☕️

Bundy Bear yeh, I am so annoyed I didn’t have the new camera in time for these bagger ride reviews! But alas, I waited and got a sweet deal for doing so! Will make up for it with some great footage soon! And I think I agree with, the batwing is too beautiful to say no to.
