I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority here but I love the look of the tank on that bike. In my mind, that bike looks like the perfect balance, if a HD cruiser had a baby with a sport bike. And I know a lot of people complain about the riding position and I'm sure there's a lot of merit to that but as a spectator, the riding position looks awesome. It reminds me of the way jockeys ride racehorses, super aggressive stance. I love it.
@LugnutsGuapo4 жыл бұрын
they definitely had a market in mind, and I think for the people that are used to their average Harley motorcycles this is just odd lol. Overall I personally like the motorcycle minus some odds and ends
@catmandu67764 жыл бұрын
@@LugnutsGuapo Yeah, I kind get the feeling that this bike would be a lot more popular if it sported a different name on the tank. This bike seems like it had to change a lot of minds about what it actually was and what it could do. To HD guys, it's a betrayal and well never be a real Harley and to everyone else, it's a Harley and you can't teach an old dog new tricks. It comes with all of the sigma of both sides and none of the hype. But what if enough people were on board and this bike had the after market support of the 883?

Hey, great review. I bought one in 2018 and love it. If the tank were narrower and higher at the front end it would improve the looks. It's awesome for quick trips around town and commuting but the mids make any long distance trips impossible. Not too bad if you buy it for the right purpose.

Lugnuts.Guapo Yeah the problem here is the dealership of Suzuki does not offer test ride at this time thanks tho
@JLRide4 жыл бұрын
The GSX-S is Japan engineered and built. Has a little more power, is lighter and more nimble but has a chain drive which means it will get really greasy at the rear wheel and will require more maintenance of the chain drive (every 500 miles). The Street Rod is U.S.A engineered and built (for U.S.A. models). It is still fast (0-60 4.2 to 4.5 seconds depending on rider weight) and relatively light 515 pounds roughly. The main selling difference for me was the belt drive. No maintenance and no grease on my rear wheel after riding. A bonus was buying from HD a U.S.A. company.

Nice vid boss! Just picked one up. Did some bolt ons and getting it dyno tuned atm. Harley really needed to add bikes like this to their lineup. On paper, the technical specs make more sense to the public for the cost to "what you get" ratio. And man, it is a really smooth running bike. The mid controls is what I dislike the most. Again nice vid, I hit the subscribe button!

In the US, a motorcycle reaching 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 minutes is a "fast" motorcycle. In the US a lightweight motorcycle is a motorcycle that weights about 525 lbs. We have different views in Europe :-) (Just kidding obviously !)
@LugnutsGuapo4 жыл бұрын
I agree with you in the sense that this bike is not fast by comparison to other brands that build lighter and faster bikes, the reference I'm making is in comparison to other Harley bikes and other bikes within the segment which this bike falls into. If I wanted fast in the sense you speak of I would probably go to kawasaki, ducatti and other brands (or fully modify this harley). All that to say I think we do have the same standard of what "fast" means, and in the context of this video this is relatively quick. Thanks for your feedback, it is very much appreciated! Cheers!

@@LugnutsGuapo I was joking dear... I love Harley's and if I'm there is that because I am looking at this Street Rod for a while, since last year in fact. They stole the front fender from the V-Rod! At least the V-Rod looked and felt more like a Harley Davidson than this thing. The Street Rod 750 has less torque and horsepower than the V-ROD. Discontinue this moped and bring back the V-ROD! Talk about going backwards in design and technology! I think HD has mental issues!
