Nearly 2 years later and the car is still going strong. My original Accord review is my most popular car review on my channel, so I thought I'd give you guys some updated thoughts on the car. Some things I've come to really like, other things not so much. I hope you enjoy my ownership update.

I have a 2010 accord coupe v6 and I remember when the 10th gen first came out, I hated it because it didn’t come with a v6 and wrote it off. My brother bought a 2018 sport 2.0 and gave me a ride in it and now it’s one of my favorite cars. I’m pretty sure the 2.0 is gonna be my next car. Great review🤝

Yeah! I was skeptical too. And then I drove it and was floored by the speed and refinement. They had a sale as soon as I stepped on it out of the dealer parking lot lol. But thanks man! Glad you liked the review and hope you get one soon!

I have a '20 Accord Touring 2.0T. Love this car! Had driven nothing but V6 Honda and Acura models since '02 and swore I'd never go back to a 4 cylinder vehicle. Had to eat my words. The 2.0T engine is awesome! I never feel like the car is underpowered. Plenty of power. Powerful, smooth, roomy, efficient and comfortable. Just a phenomenal car overall. No regrets buying mine.

How is the adaptive suspension on that touring . We have regular suspension on 2.0 t sport 🤦🏽‍♂️

@@ylnstudios Can't really compare it since I've never driven a 2.0T Accord without the adaptive suspension. But I have no complaints. The ride quality is very good. I would give it a 9/10. Since making my original post, I sold my '20 Accord Touring 2.0T that had 41k miles on it for $1100 less than what I paid for it. Bought a CPO '21 Accord Touring 2.0T that only had 4k miles on it. Love the subtle tweaks on the '21 over my '20, most specifically the wireless Apple CarPlay. Could not be happier with this car. Such a joy to drive. Very ticked that Honda dropped this wonderful powertrain on the new body style. I'll be keeping my '21 for a good while.

My 2018 Civic EXT (1.5 liter, turbo, GDI, CVT) bought new in Westchester County, NY. After four years, I’m averaging 34.1 mpg with 122,600 miles). Best car I’ve ever owned for overall ownership and reliability. I’m hoping to get 300k miles without major repair on the engine, turbo, or CVT...with meticulous maintenance.

I own this exact car in the same Platinum White Pearl . I bought 2020 EXL 2.0 in October of 20 and I currently have 57,000 miles on the clock. So far the car has been flawless. The first thing I did was tint the windows and do a full chrome delete. I also wrapped my roof and diffuser area in black as well. I added an OEM rear deck lid spoiler. Your point about the driver attention monitor was spot on. I had to turn that system off because it was getting on my nerves so much. At one point I was driving in a torrential rain and I would argue I was hyper focused at the point the “ driver attention low” warning came on. WTF? At other times while in a steady state driving like long expressway trips the low attention warning would come on for no apparent reason. That is something they need to work on for sure. Other than that the 2.0 Accord is an excellent car and I will be driving this car for a very long time.
@dynamicdrives
@dynamicdrives Жыл бұрын
It's an odd feature. I feel like if you're on a straight highway and not steering as much, it triggers the system thinking you're not paying attention. Kind of like how you have to move the wheel every so often with adaptive cruise. Probably going to turn mine off too.

I have the 2022 Accord Sport 2.0T and I absolutely loved it. I didn't know the EXL had a 2.0T as an engine option until I saw one in person couple weeks ago and this video. I also wish Honda would give the sport with the 2.0T full leather instead of cloth in the middle with the leather on the parts and wish it came with the red leather. But great review!
@sundaynightdrunk
@sundaynightdrunk 10 ай бұрын
The EX-L has been the option to get leather for many years, and the touring gets the leather as well. The 2.0T Sport is a bargain for what you get, but I agree, it would be nicer with leather.

I have a 2019 accord sport 2.0 with 47K. So far, no issues. I have changed the oil every 6-7K and changed the tires. Not sure if I like the 10 ten speed transmission because it is constantly shifting. I wish I had bought the manual transmission model. Next service will be replacing the brake fluid.

How are you still liking the Accord? I'm shopping for a 2021 2022 Touring. They are still about $30k with 25k miles. But worth it?
@dynamicdrives
@dynamicdrives Ай бұрын
I really love it. I've driven many different cars and the Accord just has a smoothness and stability to it that a lot of cars can't match. The 2.0T is also really punchy and fast. The only thing I'm not completely crazy about is the styling which is why I tried to jazz it up a bit.

I have the 2020 sport 2.0 and I had to recalibrate my tire pressure light like 3 times before it turned off completely 🤣
@dynamicdrives
@dynamicdrives 2 жыл бұрын
Haha I had the same issue. A mechanic told me to wait until the car was cold to recalibrate, because the tires heat up and gain pressure while driving. And then once they lose pressure, the car senses low pressure again. Kind of annoying lol I don't get why it can't be an automatic thing like in every other car.
@sundaynightdrunk
@sundaynightdrunk 10 ай бұрын
@@dynamicdrives Because it doesn't use individual wheel pressure sensors like other cars. This quote is from Honda on TPMS: "In this system, the vehicle’s ABS wheel-speed sensors calculate air pressure based on wheel-rotation characteristics." I've seen a ton of wheel pressure sensors fail even on expensive cars, but Honda does it passively, so you won't have that. I don't think it's better, but that's why.

I’ve heard complaints about road noise on these Accords. I tend to enjoy a really nice, quiet car. How do you feel about the noise level when you’re driving?
@dynamicdrives
@dynamicdrives Жыл бұрын
It's really not bad. If 1 is the quietest car and 10 is the loudest, it's probably like a 3 or a 4. Nothing that's going to be disturbing or intrusive, although everybody has different preferences

 @dynamicdrives960 The Sport has the most stolen wheels in the country. I'm trying to buy a 2.0 now but really worried about the wheel theft issue. The EX-L has 17 inch wheels that nobody wants and they provide a smoother ride and with less possibility of damaging the wheels from potholes.

What’s the difference between sport 2.0t and ex-l 2.0t? Do engines run the same or any difference in features? I’m debating on which one to get. price are few thousand different too

It's the same engine and transmission, same power. The EX-L has leather, remote start, heated seats, sunroof and 10-speaker audio whereas the sport has half cloth/half pleather and 8-speaker audio. The remote start, heated seats, and sunroof are options on the sport 2.0 but standard on the EX-L.
