I realize now that I mis-spoke and said the clutch perch was an ARC clutch perch when it is really the Works Connection Elite Perch. They sell both on their site. My bad guys! Stoked you are enjoying the build so far

I’m 6ft 2 and ride a Honda 450 and have been struggling with severe arm pump lately, I’m gonna try all these tips. Great video! Just to let you know, you need to rotate your left fork leg so you can undo your bleed screw to release air pressure, the screw is in line with your bar in the video, you’ll see what I mean👍🏼

What you said about taller guys getting arm pump because of not being able to grip the bike properly with their knees makes a lot of sense. I remember getting a lot less arm pump when I was a kid/teen ( never really struggled with that back then ) and feeling way more comfortable on a dirtbike.

Give Steg Pegz a shot. They take a little getting used to when you're needing to get back on the bike, but they are absolutely baller for getting locked in and not getting arm pump. 10/10 would buy again (in fact, just ordered a set for my new bike)

An added bonus to those evo bars is that since they flex so well, they're less likely to bend in a crash. Also, your poor master cylinder cover bolts 😫

@@joshuabower61 because it flexes so well, it will deflect and come back to its original shape. Basically, it can be forced to flex farther than a standard protaper se bar while without permanent damage. It has more plasticity than the standard bar

Sic parts, great to see you getting the support you deserve too. Important too, but re arm pump and position on your bike and I noticed this at nationals allot of both class of bikes even more on the 250 which I know you got some suspension done. Plus you mentioned various similar issues throughout the season. SUSPENSION... I was hoping at the end of this vid your next upgrade was suspension but you mention engine package, imo the biggest thing holding you back at Nationals was suspension, not engine, very clear in the 450 class where imo you did amazing well considering a stock bike, even though you don’t think so, but it was the stand out for me in your season! but you could see a difference in your riding position re your general track fun videos where you are always looking fast, but Nationals was an eye opener in the difference between the two and vs the other racers ahead of you. I’m sure it’s in your plan, but imo you should focus on suspension support, A kit level sponsorship support or buying it yourself over any engine package especially on a 450, sell a bike if you have too rather than have 2 classes not fully at there potential, (again imo you have outgrown the 250 class anyway) you need time to develop your suspension setups that and that takes allot more than getting engine dialled in, just saying, you have the ability the skills, but at National level, suspension held you back more than anything else, a 450 as you know over 2 x 30 minute motos is tough, Nationals, it’s the toughest, being able to stay fast through qualifying, the. 2 motos lap after lap, it’s not the engine that going to get that done it’s your suspension setup, if the suspension is stock or semi sorted it won’t be much different to this year result wise, everyone else will be stepping it up. Most imo think they always need more power! I know everyone will be about the fancy stuff the bling and I’ll get flamed, but they are distractions imo/e let others make the mistakes, reliability, suspension (cooling package for that Honda) would be my focus. That will sort arm pump issues along with your cockpit setup which is pretty nice. Those triple clamps do look sic. Also use a bit on those grease on this bearings headset lower race) and thread ends/thread locker never go dry on dry metal. Will also help get proper torque when do use a torque wrench and make those parts last longer and be safer. Look forward to the next vid JW.

As one of the biggest squids out there, the one piece bar mount is amazing. So nice to not tweak your bars in a dumb tip over. With you coming from the husky 450 with the magura hydraulic clutch, any particular reason you didn’t get one for the Honda since you don’t like the stock clutch pull? Those Ride Engineering triples are nice, but only have ONE mounting hole towards the rear of the clamp. It just negated the sweep of the handle bars A tall rider would be better with the stock Honda triples. A better choice is the X Trig ROCS triples. The Windham/RM Mid bend has a 14 deg sweep. Fasst Flexx Bars makes a bar with a 10 deg sweep. Moves your hands forward about 1.5 inches. I enjoy your videos. Good luck.

If you are tall, wouldnt it be better to have a low handlebar? I mean if your position on the bike is already far back, wouldnt the taller bar extend your body even further back on the bike and result in even more ergonomical uncomfort? Also when sitting in the seat im guessing the higher bar would make the front end feel jittery because the geomitry of your arms are higher and not in line with the telescope movement of the forks?
