This is a great video…but I may add that torque specs specified in manuals are usually DRY specs unless otherwise stated (which is why the bolts aren’t lubricated from the factory). By using a lubricant on the threads it greatly increasing the bolt clamping force to achieve the same torque spec. In effect you’re over- torquing the bolts, so the torque figure should be reduced. For anti-seize it may be necessary to reduce torque numbers by up to 50%….which is a huge difference. There’s lots of info online regarding the issue.

I think you got off the Honda a little too soon, from the 2019 bike. I have a similar built 2019, compared to my 2023 crf450 it’s night and day. it’s such a comfortable bike, headshake problem has improved as well. Your style would suit it great

I think maxxis is the best tire ( for what i do ) which is freeriding .. its the knly tire that holds up to 100 mph wheelies on the asphalt . Ive tried every other tire and NONE HOLD UP, except for MAXXIS ...

From watching it seems like the Honda is good and I have traditionally been a Honda rider, until this year when I got a Stark Varg (yes alpha version but no I don't use that mode, haven't been to a beach race yet). While you can't race one, Have you ridden one or are you going to get to ride one?

Can hear the difference in motors on the new gasgas. Much more throaty meaning the exhaust port/bore is bigger allowing for better low end.

Sorry for my ignorance Jeff but I just don’t understand why you need a new bike. If you like the 23 gas gas wouldn’t it be cheaper to just rebuild the motor and get all new bearings and grease it. Maybe rebuild the suspension and wheels as well. Is it that you just ride so hard and so much that the frame gets weaker or you just wanting a new comfortable base to start the season with. Please respond bc I would really like to know.

My brother let me ride his bike and he asked why I was being so gingerly. This right here lol.

I just did a comparison with my 22 Honda 250 compared to a 25 and it felt like a totally different bike. I was able to switch between the two bikes back to back and the new Honda frame is very compliant and the rear wheel feels so much more connected to the ground. I was very hesitant to believe the “new” frame would feel much different but I was really impressed. Picking up a 25 next week!
