The 2020 Hyundai Verna will give competition to the 2020 Honda City which will soon be launched in India. Other than that, it rivals the Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento and Maruti Ciaz.

I think Verna is a very good car for the people sitting at the front. But as soon as you go to the rear seat it is a whole different world. The window line is very high and headroom is too small. If you are above 5'10" and if you sit upright your hair will brush against the roof. Legroom is just about adequate and doesn't give you any sense of space. If you are less than 5'10", the high window line will make you feel claustrophobic. The steering feels lifeless and doesn't feel connected. Hyundai compensates these short comings by providing insane amount of features as compared to the competition which makes people think these cars are better value for money. If anyone is thinking of buying Verna, he/she should consider the above aspects and decide objectively if the bells and whistles are really worth sacrificing the comfort.

Special mention required on ground clearance about this car.. Particularly on Indian roads with many speed breakers, this ground clearance will become a huge problem.. When there is no leg room at back, no smoke head room, no under thigh support, not enough space for middle seat at back - then this car is not at all suitable for long drives.. Purely for Hyundai lovers.. City is far better than verna and Ciaz is even better than this.... Hope these points will be highlighted by motor beam in their reviews as well

I am using 2018 model Verna and it is long term review and opinion of mine therefore braking performance is very poor, never ever go for Hyundai products 🙏 I recommend only if you drive not more than 80 kmph, if it is ok means can purchase.
