Amazing! Those dogs are such professionals! Crowds, noise and all the activity didn't seem to phase them. Thanks for bringing us along.

Third checkpoint of the race is 10 miles from our cabin. Huge party with bonfires and plenty of alcohol and people. Great time every year. I am so glad you guys got to experience the official start of the race. This race is the " SUPER BOWL " of Alaska. People fly in from all over the world to witness it at various checkpoints. Theresa and I were talking to and partying with Japanese BILLIONAIRES. I am not kidding. It just brings people together for a great time. It is funny to camp in a tent right next to these people in the remote wilderness. You will make lifetime friends with the people you meet who come to these checkpoints. Like i said , it is a huge party for spectators.

Amazing how calm and composed all the dogs are when theyre around so many other dogs. My pup goes crazy when he sees a dog on a TV commercial let alone being around hundreds and hundreds of other dogs and a crowd of people at the same time.

We've been watching you for a couple months now. 🤗 We've taken to saying "..time to watch 'The Kids' now, or 'The Kids from Alaska'.." but we have the utmost respect for you. You're as hardworking as any couple could be; and in almost every way just very inspiring. As we watch thru the 300+ episodes in this playlist, and reaching this one today - there's so much depth and beauty to your programming. There's no way we'd ever have a chance to witness the official start of THE Iditarod (an American classic race) as up close and personally as through your lens(es). We're thankful to be able to 'accompany' you on your journey (to some extent). The whole youtube phenomenon is (imho) one of the best aspects of modern media thanks to post-ers like you. We're rooting for you, and learning a lot from your videos. We pray the very best blessings on your life (& hope you trust God for Salvation so you'll live forever❣️) 🎄 Merry Christmas/Happy Jesus' Birthday 🥳

Love love love this video!!! Id So, in 1989 I was in Fairbanks the first time. When I commented on the video with the snowshoes y'all did and mentioned I had sunk deep into the snow to get to the sideline of the race, I may or may not have referred to it as the start of the Iditarod. For many years I always thought that was the race. I was corrected on it over and over again, LOL. The race start I witnessed was and is the start of the Yukon Quest. Anyhow, it is so exciting to see those teams thoroughly enjoying themselves! Those dogs love love love what they do!
