What about a tok xil shield instead of a defender or crystal shield.? It gives +65 range def compared to +80 crystal shield and + 7 str att compared to 0

Would work if you have it, IDK a ton of iron that have it/are able to obtain it efficiently so it wasn't on my radar for gear..it sounds nice though!

How much mage bonus do you need ?

There is no specific requirement, you just want to have as high as possible since you’ll be praying melee and take most of your damage from his mage special

GWD was originally released as team bosses, so solo is rough, keep at it! it only takes 1 kill to get the drop you want :)

Elite void legs>god dhide legs if you dont need for protection from followers and dont have full karils. Better prayer bonus with the same (technically very very slightly better) defence bonuses.

If you’ve set it to auto cast already yeah. Should work for any staff that can autocast ancients - it’ll only not keep the autocast if you brew too low or run out of runes

I know this is months late, but is arclight better to spec with than dwh if you have it?

DWH is more accurate BUT if you feel like that extra food would make/break your trip then it is okay to just use the arclight (since really they both don't hit all that often)

great guide. Idk how you're hitting so consistently. I'm on task and have arclight plus karils....but i only get 2 maybe 3 kills a trip. This thing sucks ass but I have my hydra claw in bank and need to get my spear. If I don't get by 100 kc i'll be livid

sorry for such a late reply: guthans isn't as great because it takes you so long to kill all 3 minions. blood barraging/bursting the melee + range usually gives you enough time to breath before K'ril respawns. If you don't care about killing all 3 minions in a timely manner then you could for sure use guthans (but i recommend blood barrage if at all possible)

yeah thats basically the story of zammy. You can only get 10+ KC trips if you have a ttbow or bofa

ouch that's bad luck. If you wanna do my 'lazy' method you can wear good tank gear (barrows armor) and just pray mage - if youre praying mage zammy won't use his special but you still have to tank melee/range minion + zammy's melee attack - hard to get stacked out but usually less kills/trip

The mechanics of it are the same (attack twice, walk under) the only difference is you wear your best tank gear (highest melee/range defense) and just pray mage instead of melee. Bring mage gear/food/potions in invy like normal
