2020 Jul 26 Rudyard Lake Steam Railway

A somewhat delayed video showing the Rudyard Lake Steam Railway, and how they are managing to operate now that they have reopened for the remainder of the year.
I hope everyone is staying healthy. Please obey the lockdown rules in your area (and research what they are if you're not sure) as that will be the quickest way to end this epidemic.

Thanks Tom. I return most years as it's not far from where i live, and they seem to keep development going. Hopefully one year they'll extend the line; I believe that's in the plans.

Martin Edwards yes it is the plan to extend to leek ! But the current infrastructure needs updating to accommodate the extension ,that’s why the new signalling and double track has been added ,this will hopefully go up to the dam .

Sorry Tom,I didn't know you'll were privvy to the plans. Seeing the stretch to the Dam doubled would be fantastic, giving lots of opportunities for trains passing (or racing maybe - one for the gala days!). Hope to see Leek reached one day too.

Martin Edwards that is the plan ! The double track will give us a less tight schedule to run train to leek as well as over the current section ,this will let train going to rudyard and trains from leek to the dam space to pass without the need to stop and wait an won’t loose time for servicing and running round . The first trials have been done over the last few weekends
