2020 Kia Forte GT Automatic P.O.V Review

My wife wants a new compact car. I steered her to the 2020 Forte GT We recently tested one with the GT2 package. I was very impressed with the performance, handling, technology, features, ergonomics, and styling. KIa's vehicles are now totally integrated design packages - excellent engineering. She loves it in blue.

Was in the market for a car for my daughter who will be 18 years old early next month (October). She test drove the 2020 Nissan Sentra, 2020 VW Jetta, 2020 Toyota Corolla, 2020 Honda Accord, 2020 Hyundai Kona and Elantra, Mazda 3, and the Kia Forte LXS. Her first choice was Sentra, second Mazda 3, and the 3rd choice was Forte. She ruled out all other cars. Then we went and test drove those 3 cars back to back to back and she changed her mind. First was Mazda 3, second was Kia Forte, and she didn't even want to go for the Sentra anymore. Then the next day we went to go test drive the 2020 Kia Forte GT Line and it was all said and done. That was it. She said the Kia Forte GT Line was the car that she wanted. So I decided to buy her not the GT Line but the GT itself which is one step above the GT Line with the dual exhaust and turbo engine. I called up a large dealership that had about 75 GTs on their lot so I knew I would get the car for the price I wanted. Sticker price on the car was over $28k slightly. Got the car for $21k out the door (that's right including tax, license, and all the other bullshit you have to pay) and took it to my sister's house and keeping it parked in her garage until my daughter's birthday so that we can surprise her with it. Not bad for what I am getting. This car is truly fantastic for the price and what you are getting. It is a joy to drive and so much fun when you are in Sport mode listening to the dual exhausts. The interior is super nice with all the lights and the combination of the leatherette and cloth seats are super comfortable. 10 year 100,000 warranty and 40 mpg. I am sure back in the day people might have been a bit embarrassed to be seen driving a Kia, but damn, they've really come up bruh. Go get one!

The GT line has the CVT which suks azz. Gt is the best choice. I'm concerned though that your not teaching your child well. I had to buy my own car and I'm a better person because of it. Lessons learned. You're creating entitlement and narcissism like the boomers did. You must live in a box and haven't heard many other perspectives on this. Once you send your daughter to college and pay for that too, she'll come out hating men. Look at all the college feminists now who hate men. What a disaster. What a boomer.

The 8 speaker Harmon Kardon sound system is baller. The 6 speaker gt line sound system is also great.

Drive them both, you will love both of them. I am actually filming a comparison between the 2 tomorrow. Personally, I lean more towards the Forte GT, but the GLI is fantastic as well

I got the GT Line. On reflection, id get the GT, the extra power is always nice to have. If you can settle for the sluggish GLI transmission, you will be fine. Its not bad car but i came from a 2.0T Honda Accord.

Yes you should have I just got this car cheap mods for power but dude at 201 hp it feels soooooo much fastsr!!! And it digs out of corners the throttle has no lag you would have way more fun plus when the exhaust hits people look at me like is that the kia???

Accord different segment, forte is segmant C, u should try new K5 GT 2.5L.

Can you use Sport mode without the paddle shifters? For example: Can you engage sport mode without moving the gear stick to the left?

Dude I just got the Gt dual clutch un grey this car feels faster then 201!!!!! The throttle response tuned exhaust and the features!!!! At 29k I'm 28 and it has engine mods please buy this car!!!! Well dnt cus I dnt see the gt I wanna be rare

@@curtisfisher1028 I love it. Really fun car to drive. It has the all season tires instead of the sticky Michelin sports but it handles the curves great. AEM intake is in the near future. Only had compliments on it so far. No haters yet.

@@c-mac9736 yeah man the tires grip up very nicely and like you said it's a blast to drive in any situation, look at Tork motors, sxth elements and evilla motorsports. Tork has tunes and bigger turbo

Excellent video of this car, wasted by a guy who wants to drive this automatic car (DCT), with the paddle shifters. It's an automatic car, drive it like that. If we wanted to watch a review of the manual version, we will be looking elsewhere smh...

Nah, seems like h'es 18 maybe 20, What can you expect. I'm watching car reviews nowadays cause I wanna buy a new one and to my surprise car reviewers world has been taking by storm by millennials and all they care to review is paddle shifts and simulate a Ferrari drive experience. After that, it's the infotainment. They don't give a shit about warranty, road and tire noise, comfort. All they want is going fasting a 25,000$ mainstream car.

@@wlgjs678 I mean, not that I wish this car was awd but, the Mazda 3 NA has an awd option for just 24-25k... But , then again, that engine is not at the performance level of the Forte GT....
